- About shaw. For those who have her s2 with at least m1 or e2 ptilopsis with s2l7, you don't need to borrow puller. Shaw's skill will reload just in time
I had the same issue, I had to M3S1 myrtle to get enough dp and get perfumer max potential then everything went smoothly, also instead of ethan I used silver ash in courier position when switching myrtle
This strat didn't work for me because my pushers/pullers and Lancet-2 got completely 1 shot. But what did work is brute-forcing it with 6 stars, so I mean... Yay ?
Put friend support Ifrit in perfurmer's position and if the Ifrit has not enough damage, add a slow support behind shaw's position. This is in order to replace shaw, rope and ethan. For further assurance, put Silverash in rope's position and schwing schwing as soon as first guerrilla herald gets in range.. Myrtle > Courier > Silverash S3M3 (may work M1) > Ifrit > Slow support > Perfurmer > Another Healer for SA > Tank healer at the top right > Courier replaced by Midnight > Replace Myrtle with another healing defender.
To take care of the mortar from destroying my operators in early stages, I opted to deploy Ceobe (or any other mage) since it's cheaper than pure AoE, although it did attract unwanted fire from crossbows, it weren't as destructive as the mortar shells.
First stage where I had to call bs. No placement allowed to take out top row is pretty ridiculous. You can literally lose this with a full team of maxed E2 because of terrible enemy spawns and placement
Just a heads up, you don't really need a puller operator if you have feater with skill level around lvl 6-7). She will always have a push ready everytime a Herald will pass through. I suggest changing the puller into a more offensive operator to deal more damage. Regardless, thanks kyo you really helped me out on this one :)
thank you so much for this comment! I struggled heavily with deployment points but being able to take out cliffheart and add texas, her giving me more DP allowed me to place a defender to bait the mortars in time!!
Phew. First time I've ever been completely unable to adapt one of Kyo's strategies to my high cost team. Ended up with no shift specialists, Ambriel for heralds, Ifrit for torching the lane on the left, and medic defenders out where Kyo used Myrtle to soak. Stalled with Bagpipe/Siege over there when I had to, Eyjafjalla on cleanup at the very end. Let this be a lesson to me: Level some cheap units. >_
Rushed the chapter and I can safely say that you need to kill those Herald or else the stage becomes quite nightmarish since many units are buffed proportionally to the no. of Heralds I never thought of it and the only reason I beat this stage is high leveled E2 units Good job Kyo!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (Translation from pain: cliffheart is in fact not good option here as her range is to wide and she just catches shield instead of herald)
Just info for you guys but actually i dont know if this correct or wrong. Whoever has FEater, dont use her cuz her push are too fast and you might miss the timing. Also dont use Cliffheart as replacement for Rope. Cliffheart S2 only drags 2 targets so you also might miss the herald and she pulls other targets instead. Use Snowsant cuz she can pull ALL TARGETS infront of her and dealing a lot of Arts damage.
I ran out of patience (and practice plans) trying to do it with expensive ops xD I just brute forced this with Eyja and Ifrit while using Cliffhart as the only puller. Those mortar launchers really could ruin everything and this strat is the nearest one to be easily modified with expensive ops.
I decided to do this myself first and check out your guides and Im so impressed, I never once considered bringing a push/pull duo here! I managed to solve this through brute force and Ambriel so seeing you do this without her was so surprising to me like dang 1000 IQ right here
Might be because Cliffheart pull has wider aoe compared to Rope's and it prioritize the heavy armor mob. The heavy armor mobs in chapter 7 have special aggro mechanics. Better chance doing it with Rope I think. Or Snowsant but Rope is cheaper to build.
I'm not sure what I was doing wrong... following this basically to the letter, but something kept melting down. I finally caved and just borrowed a friend's texalter with m3s3 and my surtr m3s3 and we just said I'm over it. I may not have auto deploy, but I'm fine with that. It's done with 3 stars. To hell with this map. Thanks Kyo for your guide, it gave me good bones to work off of for my actual run at least. Oy. I wish I had my own texalter.
Sorry mate but Strat wasn't working with me(think certain units were too low LVL) so I borrowed this Strat and edited and found a way. So order was mertyle same place, then vanguard (Mine is E2 11 siege) where Cora is. Then behinder her arts range guard (lappy). Then I found Feater (E1 30)without mastery still recharges fast enough to push all the units needed. So put her where Shaw is. Raised tile next to Cora aoe medic and on raised tile to the right of the medic a arts caster aoe or a good one(E1 80 ceobe). Wait and put a strong defender maybe even an arts defender like asbestos on the tile 3 above Shaw to stall and block units coming down and agro mortars. Wait till you have enough dp to put down and medic defender and and other aoe medic. First put the medic in the centre of the 9*9 raised tiles as such it can heal Shaw/Feater the defender and myrtle. Then next to myrtle place the medic defender (gummy E1 56). Then play it ask Kyo does by pushing the enemy into the group and use the arts units to kill the heavy defenders. After a bit when all herald are down all the heavys will move. Remove Feater and put Ethan or manticore. Then remove mytle and replace with any tough unit(liskam). Then wait it out and use skill when U feel like you need to. Good luck. Note I forgot that the pucher probably was effected my my E 1 57 ptilopsis.
the mortar is so annoying, tried the fast deploy one and deploy bait to stay away the aggro just to insert other ops, the mortar always hit the 1st one than the 2nd deploy one..
if you have FEater fully skilled, you won't need Rope or Cliffheart at all, her 18sp S2 is just barely in time for each Sentinel, so you'll have 1 more deployment slot free, just need to strain your eyes a bit more. And for those who are lucky to also have Ifrit, put her next to the pusher, replacing one AoE Caster, then Perfumer above her facing the right side, with that you can put dps like Melantha + Healing Defender to attract mortal + clean up enemies there without having to stall like at the end of the video. With FEater freeing 1 slot, you can put a ST healer in place of Lancet or a dps on Rope spot. Using this strat, Ifrit will basically braindead burn all the enemies clumping in that line, so easier on your real life sanity.
Don't use Cliffheart. Since her skill range is different from Rope, she can miss the Herald no matter how you time it. What i did was borrow Gladiia since i didn't build my Rope and in my first run using her, i succeeded. It really is nerve wracking since her skill is only stackable and not manually activated that's why I'm always on the lookout by using Shaw if needed. Fortunately, I've never used Shaw's skill coz Gladiia miraculously pulls the right enemy amidst the chaos.
@@PajamasA i tried to use skill 2 but i always fail haha. So i tried the automatic skill and she miraculously always gets the heralds amidst the flood of enemies in front of her being blocked by the tank, at least from my first try with it. U just have to watch very closely (normal speed and lots of pausing or toggling to an operator to make it more slow) and use a pusher if ever gladiia fails to pull the right enemy.
I tried more than 10 times today lol. I given up on this stage. i can't make the aoe medic survive. also Shaw and Cliffheart's sp are not fast enough. I think I really need to build all the character for better stats first. thank you Kyo, you saved me from this hell every time!

A tip I have for anyone having a hard time with the mortars is using IFRIT at the bottom-left panel (lancet’s position) and aim her up. Getting rid of one mortar is HUGE and she helps trim health from anyone unfortunate enough to pass through.
If tou have Ambriel (E1 Max Lvl S2Lvl7)(And you should, she likes to show in the gacha) use her, her S2 always targets the Guerrila Herald, leaving a little more space for errors if you can't activate the skills of the two specialist, But if you do that you need to change the deployment, and your AOE caster needs to be stronger.
Well for me it nightmare i dont have strong aoe medic dont have blaze or medic defender i finished everything with hoshiguma and chen but this stage is nightmare
I don't think you need one high level, if you have the right skill needed for the ops then it's good, Rope S2 or Clifheart S2 and ops who have skill like Shaw, I tried with Rope and Shaw E1 1 and that work fine
This strategy is too tight on DP, can't deploy medic before they all dead. Even he had DP just in time to 2nd shot, with Myrtle S1M3. I have 8 DP shortage minimum and I changed to Cliffheart and Breeze and they cost more. Ok, I figured it out, but it's pretty situational. Changed order to Myrtle>Siege>Mostima>Lancet>Cliffheart>Cuora>Surtr(support unit)>Shaw>Breeze>Beagle>Lava>Nearl As I can't get Shaw in time for 2nd Herald, I use Mostime S3 to stall and push back enemy to get last SP of Cliffhert, later it's like in Kyo guide. Exept Surtr melts everyone with her autoattacks. Without Surtr I think I can't kill them, as shi can tank hits from Martyr while I get DP for Shaw and Breeze, in all other combinations my puller and AoE dies horribly
If you have Silverash and Thorns (those two should be E2 and S3 use and the placing should be Vanguard -> empty tile > SA->Thorns ) and whoever caster, and following the guide about last deployment of ops so the mortar should target it, this stage is not that hard to clear.
i'm surprised i actually thought up the same push strat as kyo granted i used wendy. for people who have wendy e2, she can do the shifting by herself by alternating s3 and turret
Ethan is an impostor among us, Ethan : what i go wrong.....?!! Manticore : so sad..... let me replace him me : that's good idea Manticore.... your S2 is art damage meanwhile, the doctor who not have Manticore : I guess i am stuck with this impostor now...... damn it !!!, if only my friend would gladly lend that Manticore
what a pity, that Weedy support unit is not suitable for this job, as it's S3 shoot to farest target, as I could see from practise tool (so it ignores herald, that close to her)
If you're doing this stage post Il Siracusano and have Texalter (S3) she will make cleaning up mistakes laughably easy on this stage (enemies coming through the stairs on the east side become non-issues with her and she cleans up the mortar guys quick and easy without even pulling Myrtle out). Also if you have Saria (other medic defenders like Gummy can probably work but survivability may become a slight issue due to how many enemies she will have to deal with) you can use instead of Cuora she will make keeping the healing situation on the west side much more manageable.
I love Kyo's guides 99% of the time, but this one is just far too finicky to work well. It relies on this exact team comp, no substitutions work despite him saying otherwise. If you sub anyone for Ethan, the mortars just continue to shell the grouped area and will kill one or more of the operators there while you wait for DP to be able to drop in a ranged guard first, then Beagle. The entire thing is reliant around Ethan being less likely to be attacked, anything else just messes up the entire flow. Not to mention the precision timing you need to push/pull the sentinels. They get pretty hard to see when there are 4 enemies in the same tile, and if your timing isn't perfect with Shaw you'll miss one. As much as I appreciate the low-rarity guides this one just doesn't do it for me.

If you have Silverash and Thorns (those two should be E2 and S3 use and the placing should be Vanguard -> empty tile > SA->Thorns ) and whoever caster, and following the guide about last deployment of ops so the mortar should target it, this stage is not that hard to clear.
Omg I thought this level was impossible but I used gladiaa as a support along with my silver ash and finally beat it :.)
i'm surprised i actually thought up the same push strat as kyo granted i used wendy. for people who have wendy e2, she can do the shifting by herself by alternating s3 and turret
Just borrowed Ling and beat the stage with only her and Myrtle xD
Now I’m checking this vid and realising how 200IQ it is. Damn.
I placed Liskarm and Gummy on the right side and hekk gummy cooking delicious
I have watched this many times by now, but i can't still clear this stage. I can't seem to get the timing right 😭
HAPPY NEW YEARR KYOOO
Ethan is an impostor among us,
Ethan : what i go wrong.....?!!
Manticore : so sad..... let me replace him
me : that's good idea Manticore.... your S2 is art damage
meanwhile, the doctor who not have Manticore : I guess i am stuck with this impostor now...... damn it !!!, if only my friend would gladly lend that Manticore
now I know why i can't clear this, i miss that herald
Surtr just wrecks the last wave
what a pity, that Weedy support unit is not suitable for this job, as it's S3 shoot to farest target, as I could see from practise tool (so it ignores herald, that close to her)
If you're doing this stage post Il Siracusano and have Texalter (S3) she will make cleaning up mistakes laughably easy on this stage (enemies coming through the stairs on the east side become non-issues with her and she cleans up the mortar guys quick and easy without even pulling Myrtle out). Also if you have Saria (other medic defenders like Gummy can probably work but survivability may become a slight issue due to how many enemies she will have to deal with) you can use instead of Cuora she will make keeping the healing situation on the west side much more manageable.
Ah, i see an ifrit tile on the bottom side
You can easily clear this stage with just ling and a vanguard
As much as I appreciate the low-rarity guides this one just doesn't do it for me.
mad cuz bad
