So he kept the Ramones' drum throne warm for five years and wrote some piffling material -- that hardly justifies his appropriation of name, songs and artwork, all stolen for his mercenary ends. But worse than that -- he is one steaming heap of cliche.
If anyone is a fucking goon in the ramones it's Elvis Ramone he was with them for 2 shows before Johnny kicked him out for not being able to keep up with the band. He shouldn't be able to call himself a Ramone
Miguel Rodriguez Elvis Ramone doesn't call himself Elvis Ramone. He calls himself by his name, Clem Burke, from Blondie. As for Richie, he sure does have the right to call himself a Ramone, he was a better drummer than Marky and he wrote some great songs, unlike Marky.

Even Keel All this is just an opinion, including my response but I not think he is exploiting the Ramones as much as making living. That and I think it's highly subjective to say when someone has been in a band long enough to do things like he is. I honestly think he has the right, he wrote songs and he changed the style of The Ramones. For better or for worse when they got Richie as a drummer, they played way faster than before, and that stuck even after Richie left.
+Twisted Fister he kinda sounds like a raspy version of Joey/Dee Dee mix but it works very well. Clem Burke can't call himself a Ramone because he wasn't even in the band a week
He played on 3 albums. Just as many as CJ and he played in the band for 4 years and over 500 shows he was in just as long as Tommy did. So I'd say he has every right to embrace his Ramones moniker
