Came across this page when I started moding my 7.5 R. Love the content can't wait to see what you run at the strip. I just went BT as well(baby hyrbid APR DTR 6054). Tuned by Matt at EQT. Have the typical supporting mods(Cobb intake,Cobb dp, DO888 fmic, Autotech hpfp, EQT lpfp, Denso plugs and the EQT sensors). Hoping to sneak into the 10s in the next coming weeks when my tune is finished.
Nice man! That’s a very good and reliable setup imo. Im sure you’ll get there. Matt is great behind the keyboard
How’s the DTR been?
@@se6586been good. I never ended up buttoning up my tune. Had a ton of stuff come up the last 7-8 months between my dog and close friend dying and birth of my daughter the car took a back seat. I did manage to do an 11.2 @ 123 on a 93oct tune.
I wish someone would call me huge 😐
SAME
Hey ain’t nothing with being avg 🤣🤣🤣
This looks worth it just from the look it gives the engine bay and it comes with everything
For the price and the fact it comes with I let hose filter everything yes it’s absolutely worth it
I bet you’re loving that intake right now it looks crazy
It’s great so far!
Good to see you happy again. And your improvisation is working very well also looks oem. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@Diego Arias …Great vid as always Im from South Africa and super proud of @Blazeperformance there intakes are tops and you proving the gains and sound is wonderful news.
Keep up the great content
That intake looks so cool
Thank you!
The best of the best right here
We need some draggy times bro 😢 waiting to see your times to decide if I'm going eqt stage 3
I know man! It’s so tough in my area as there’s no big side or backroads to be able to. BUT I should be at the strip this weekend. It’s supposed to be 63 and sunny 😬
@Diego Arias awesome! Looking forward to it bro
taking it on the track or dyno soon? Love the videos!
I’m hoping this Sunday to make it to the drag strip! It’s gonna be sunny and 60 so good weather. Dyno issue rn not gonna lie is the arm and a leg they’re trying to charge me for only 3 pulls ($350-$400 which imo is ridiculous) so we will see what happens hopefully can find a reasonable $ amount for that soon lol
I see you had the APR open intake before the Blaze Perf. Was there a significant difference/improvement - performance and noise wise?
Worth the change?
The main reason for the switch tbh is that EQT and a few other tuners have been able to prove that this intake actually shows performance gains especially on hybrid setups. Boost comes in sooner, wastegate duty cycle improves as well. One thing I noticed off the bat is the car absolutely feels peppier and the induction sound honestly is so loud. I liked my old setup but for what my car is rn I wanted the best proven setup I could have. If you’re stock turbo I think it may be a bit overkill but if you plan hybrid eventually (unless you already are) then absolutely get this one. Also this intake setup was cheaper than my Apr/mst intake combo so I can’t complain there either
Furthermore just to give you an example as well on my old setup I would get about 30psi around 5k rpm and the logs I just took is about 33psi at 5k rpm which is a big difference. Plus the car is a bit rich so with some tweaking I’m sure it will be even better. Also boost started to come in hard around 3600-3700 rpm and now it’s around 3400ish. Just those alone make it worth it
@@DArias thank you for your responses and insights. Much appreciated!
I think you may have me sold on this setup!
@@DArias The gains from the Blaze setup are from the flange which is a 56 mm ID.
You’ll enjoy it, Matt is still retuning my car after adding that intake 😈
Really?? Sheeeeesh haha I emailed Matt 2 logs to see. I looked them over on datazap and I can see the boost comes in earlier and makes more beast at certain rpms like for example before at 5000rpm I was at 30ish psi and now at 5000rpm it was at 32.3psi lol
@@DArias lol, they had to send me another exhaust housing with a ported Wastegate housing because I was over boosting at 5k with a wide open wastegate, so far he’s still retuning my 93 map, but it almost feels like my old e85 map lol, the intake was definitely worth the money
Now that’s an intake jeez
Yeah it’s def big lol
You should re-route that coolant hose looks like you might get coolant bleeding issues later on down the track.
New intake looks sick, just let me know when your ready to sell your old one.
It’s ready to go! Haha shoot me a dm on ig
@@DArias sent you a dm
Louder then the apr? I noticed with my drop in filter it was more turbo whistle sound verses my ie Intake was just a loud suction.
Yes no joke this is much louder especially while getting into boost this thing screams
You're running an XL with stock charge pipes? Will you be upgrading or are they not needed?
Thanks!
That’s massive
YUGE
I got a stage 1 Ecu/tcu tune from a local spot in union, car completely stock otherwise , worth doing any more mods? Car feels transformed already , ordered the NGK racing plugs at shops request for follow up install
I’m recommendation for sure would be an intercooler. The stock units aren’t very good and the cars heat soak quickly
This might be a dumb question but…if he can fit his entire arm in there then what is it filtering?
Nice work, I follow the channel 🤘💀👍
I'm in Europe, is not easy to purchase this intake
Worth It on a stock turbo?
This setup is probably a big overkill on a stock turbo tbh. It will still sound and look great. The benefits come on hybrid and full frame setups
Not without an insert for the flange. The flange is designed to work with a 56 mm compressor housing and the stock turbo is only 49 mm. The size difference produces a drop in performance without the flange insert, enough that you're better off modifying the stock airbox. With the flange insert, the Blaze performs similarly to other aftermarket intakes.
Do you still got the old air intake for sale?
Was this one louder then your apr intake?
It is def more noticeable yes. Biggest difference for me was the spool sound from about 3500rpm onward where it really screams
@@DAriasis this the 4 inch intake hose or 3 inch?
Are you running an eblend or straight e85?
Full E85
@@DArias Cool! I'm looking at switching from 034 to eqt. Thinking I'm going to order the zero 2 hero kit
How are you liking it several months out? Wondering if you have any buzziness at certain RPMs; I had IE intake and it was good but a bit rattly at higher RPMs esp downshifting. Drove me nuts. Coming from the metal plates somewhere; I swapped it out and noises went away. Design of Blaze looks similar (long pieces of thin metal) and hence the question...
Ugh it’s so big. (Bigger the better)
BRO?
OMG.
Yepppppp lol
“Oh god this is huge” thats what she said
Not to me at least 😟
@@DArias just say babe wait til i get stage 3 on this bad boy lmao, but honestly though that intake is 🔥🔥🔥
Maybe turn the AC off guy
lol this dude understand no shit about logs, and what data mean
Hey I messaged you on instagram about the intake
