I got a few records for Christmas, but not metal, I’ve been trying to expand my still relatively small collection, so I picked up the newest albums from indie / surf-rock bands Peach Pit and *repeat repeat, entitled You And Your Friends and Glazed, respectively, as well as one of my personal favorites of the year, Earth Is A Black Hole by grunge / shoegaze / alt-rock band Teenage Wrist. Such a fantastic record, really took me by surprise.
just listened through purification through violence for the first time! like you said, sounds like shit, but it's nothing if not groovy and pissed off, and really what else do you need from brutal dm? my most recent records from sonic boom in seattle, though: Torn Arteries by Carcass Surgical Steel by Carcass Abhorrent Rapture by Witch Vomit and if anyone cares about CDs, Buried Deep in a Bottomless Pit by Witch Vomit and Above by Mad Season (deluxe edition :] )
I’ve only gotten into vinyl this year, so the collection is still young, but the last couple months I’ve added: Power Trip - Nightmare Logic BTBAM - Colors II Hooded Menace - Darkness Drips Forth Obscura - A Valediction Fall of Efrafa - Owsla Archspire - Bleed the Future
I bought Show No Mercy in 83 and it's still my favorite Slayer album. Yes, I'm an old woman. Nice additions to your collection. I really can't afford vinyl right now but I do have a CD order coming in the mail.. A couple by Blazon Stone The new Running Wild The new Bewitcher Khemmis - Deceiver Oh, I did splurge on getting a Stormkeep CD. Most I've ever paid for a CD.
I've added these to my vinyl collection recently: Atheist - Piece of Time(1/600 exclusive pressing) Opeth - Blackwater Park Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz BTBAM - Colors BTBAM - Parallax II
My vinyls include: Death - Scream Bloody Gore Metallica - Master of Puppets Motorhead - Ace of Spades Megadeth - Peace Sells But Who's Buying NWA - Straight Outta Compton Opeth - Still Life Sumo Cyco - Initiation Unleash the Archers - Abyss Yes I know, those are rookie numbers.
Oh boy let's see. Well recently I picked up this read-along story book record for TRON, one of my all-time favourite movies. I picked up a picture disc of the Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas soundtrack (Huge Muppet nerd right here), and I also FINALLY grabbed a vinyl copy of Ween's The Mollusk, one of my all time favourite albums.
I have that Carcass album on vinyl. Unfortunately, the dinnerware set was sold out, so I got the standalone vinyl. Here's the annoying thing. It's a double LP, but it's not a gatefold. I got the blood splatter variant.
This fellow Torontonian recently bought: Code Orange - “Underneath” (the Album Release show pressing, signed by the band) Kvelertak - “Meir” and “Splid” Firewind - “Immortals” Jet Force Gemini Soundtrack (a PRECIOUS game in my history of gaming, a great addition to the set of video game soundtracks I already have in my collection and arguably the best soundtrack ever written for an N64 game!)
Awesome shit! I'm a recent subscriber and I love your channel! And thanks for turning me on to Akurion with 2020's top 10, can't fucking stop listening to the album!!
Great vinyl update, can't go wrong with any of these classics. Here's what I got recently on vinyl and CD this month. Type O Negative - October Rust (Vinyl) Black Sabbath - Paranoid (Vinyl) Obituary - The End Complete (CD) Opeth - Morningrise (CD) Asphyx - Necroceros (CD) Trivium - In the Court of the Dragon (CD) Mastodon - Hushed and Grim (CD) Danzig - Self-titled (CD) Blood Incantation - Starspawn (CD) Cynic - Ascension Codes (CD)
That amazing Spider-Man thing looks fucking glorious lmao. Ecailles De Lune, October Rust, None So Vile I really want to get. Some of my favorite albums of all time.
Man my collection seems small in comparison, impressive. Slowly we rot and none no vile are spectacular, I’d love to get my hands on a copy of those. The two I’ve recently acquired are obituary self-titled and beneath the remains, and I’ll probably get a few more in the coming days
We share both a love for vinyl and comics, two things that I have spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much money on over the years. I just played October Rust for a friend the other day, he'd never heard Type 'O' Negative, I hadn't heard it in a while, but it still does the trick.
Pshh every upload is ultimately special! \M/ Also glad I caught the 5pm EST again because my short term memory sucks (least my long term is 100% though haha), so I know to set an alarm prior to it so I will not miss it!

Robert do you think the metal gods will bless us with a new Dying Fetus album in 22?
Oooooo I've no clue but that would most certainly kick major ass.

I'm not a vinyl collector, but I'd absolutely sell a kidney for the carcass plate

Jealous of the signed Code Orange thing. Very jealous.

Damn your Full of Hell variant is way sicker than mine lol
Lmao which one did you get dude?
just got show no mercy on cd it,s actually considered early black metal
Rise Against is from Chicago lol and Gray Daze is the pre Linkin Park Chester Bennington band
Lmoa whoops, must've been thinking of a different band then.
Wish I lived in a record store town. The one in my town is unfortunately not great in terms of metal and underground stuff.
That amazing Spider-Man thing looks fucking glorious lmao. Ecailles De Lune, October Rust, None So Vile I really want to get. Some of my favorite albums of all time.
I've got October Rust on both vinyl and CD. I don't own anything from Alcest or Cryptopsy on CD or vinyl so those are good albums to start out with.
Man my collection seems small in comparison, impressive. Slowly we rot and none no vile are spectacular, I’d love to get my hands on a copy of those. The two I’ve recently acquired are obituary self-titled and beneath the remains, and I’ll probably get a few more in the coming days
That Carcass vinyl is just beautiful! A masterpiece! A work of art!
Slayer is my favorite Pokemon!
desaster churches without saints

I don't want to know how much money I've spent overall on vinyl and comics. No doubt its scarily astronomically high...

👍
I only have Sabotage by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin S/T but I plan on buying another one or 2 not sure what though.
I'm not a vinyl collector, but I'd absolutely sell a kidney for the carcass plate
