- Hey everyone, I've recently had a hard time dealing with hate regarding my FNAF theories and I thought I would make a video talking about it and clarifying some of my points. This is more like a part 2 to my FNAF, The MAJOR Clue We All Missed video LOL. I hope you enjoyed.

I hate people who just cyberbully random people. This guy literally uses the word "theory." It's not meant to be taken as a fact. Love your videos, John. Keep up the great work.
He gets hate because everyone thinks their specific theorist is right and they don't get what theories are. But it's all the toxic bullshit of no I'm right!!!!!!! And it's so....exhausting or just the flat out slurs. People don't realize how tiring they are.

John is the person who opened me up to other theories in FNAF, when I first discovered him I loved how different he was and how different his theories were, I fell in love with how many different theories there are in the FNAF fandom, I hate how people get so pissed when someone has a different perspective like calm down this isn’t politics it’s a horror game

I recently watched a William Osman video where he talks about hate comments that really affected him. In the video he talked to several other RUclipsrs who all agreed that hate comments are a lot more impactful than nice comments. Their general consensus as to why was that hate comments stand out more because there are fewer, and when there is some truth to them, they hurt more. This made me think about how people always tell RUclipsrs that are struggling with hate comments to not listen to them and make it sound like it’s just that simple even though it’s just not. So I agree with you, but saying “you don’t need to feel pressured,” of course, is true, but it’s difficult to do. Tbh I don’t know why I just ranted about this, I guess just because I think it’s important.

Scott even said this once, im pretty sure: the books ARENT canon, but CAN be used to solve the main storylines lore. Afton, Henry, Charlie/Charlotte, the Mimic, its not part of the main storyline but runs parallel, different universes that have similarities that can be used to fill in small holes in the plot at some point

@@AYellowPikmin does he have to point it out for every book? There are so many things in the new books that tie directly into the games. If it wasn’t for these books the “Crying Child is stuck in Golden Freddy with Cassidy” idea never would’ve come up, but the fact that it was so specifically a connection to GF and the 2 spirits actually makes you think if maybe that’s the case. Obviously not everything in the books are connected, but there’s a lot that actually solves a ton of questions from the original FNaF era from FNaF 1 to 6

Nah he said you can take "elements" from the books in order to solve the lore. Not a beat for beat thing.
He never once implied everything in them wasn't canon. We just have to solve what and what can't be true in the game timeline.

Sadly, this reminds me of the time when the community told MatPat that his "Dream Theory" for the first 4 FNAF games was insane and he was an idiot. John is not drowning out other voices. I watch too much RUclips anyway. It doesn't matter what you're talking about. Whether it be politics, ideas, or theories, we should respect how someone sees a topic. That doesn't mean you agree or even like what they are doing, but understand them first before hating/cancelling them. Keep at it John! You got this!!!

This guy was one of the best theorists making videos. I loved so many of his ideas. I disagree about the book thing but who cares? You're not gonna agree with 100% of someone else's opinions ever. And disagreeing with the book issue doesn't take away all those past amazing theories. This sucks

@@deathmauler181 even the theories I disagree with have good ideas in them. Even if you overall disagree with a theory the parts of the theory can make you think. Like this video brought up some great points about Baby I didn't consider. And plus by listening to something and considering it even if you don't necessarily agree, if I'm wrong and this theory is right, I might be able to pick up on what the game is going for quicker. Right or wrong a well made theory can only be good for the community. I don't get why people are acting this way :(
If we all agreed on everything, would there be anything to discuss? Fnaf's convoluted lore is one of the things that make it special and we're all still talking about it after so many years.

...except for when Matpat makes claims that he's definitively solved these stories and has proof, and that his explanations are the closest anyone can get to figuring things out, and people believe that and run with it.
Sometimes the "It's just a theory!" thing feels more like a formality he has to include because it's in every video, no matter how confident he is about it. It's a good reminder in concept but not many people take it seriously, sadly- sometimes not even Matpat himself.
This is something FuhNaff is a bit guilty of too, people hear him say "Need more proof?" 10 times in a row and blindly assume "He has a mountain of evidence, it's undeniable. He literally solved the story."
Which is to be fair on the fault of the community. People REALLY need to stop assuming that because some popular RUclipsr came up with a really thorough story, that it's correct. Heck, most of Matpat's FNAF theories tend to be dated after a few months- go back and watch his playlist of FNAF theories and a majority are wrong. Yet people flock to him to "know the story."

The idea of all these theories is to look at the series from different perspectives. Sometimes that can lead to revaluations that no one has ever thought of, it’s constructive and entertaining.

Well, to add some fair criticism, labelling some theories as "I've solved everything" among other overly confident phrasing makes the term 'theory' feel like a formality.
Matpat does the same. He'll go on and on about how he has definitive proof about something, and so the "But that's just a theory" bit feels like a slogan he has to include and not like, something he genuinely means. Because a lot of MatPat's theories exist to 100% give people a definitive answer to cling to for mysteries.
The fault is on the community too though, for how many people blindly believe these things. The fact that Gregbot isn't even considered a theory to SO many people is absurd. There are people who, when explaining the story, will just assume that's part of it because "Matpat said so"
That’s exactly what I’ve always thought. Even if a theory may seem far fetched or ridiculous to some doesn’t mean it can’t contribute something to the community and lead to some other ideas we can explore and theorize about whether it be for fun or not. It’s good to to step outside of the norm and try something different for a change because that’s part of the fun of theorizing!

It always baffles me that people respond to a certain thought process with outright hate and harassment. The lore for this Franchise(ESPECIALLY with Security Breach) often feels like it's going in 8 different directions at once. And something those directions branch off into their own mini directions that sometimes lead to dead ends but more often than not open up even more paths and create even more questions without answers. Theorists then come together and try to put the pieces back together. Even when it doesn't always fit or feel satisfying. They're just trying their best with the info they have. I love Scott and the FNAF series. But let's not pretend that the lore is as cut and dry to have a simple conclusion or is always going to be 100% agreed upon. Until Scott clarifies or confirms something, it is up for speculation. And we should not spread hate because people are sharing their honest thoughts on a series they love.

Honestly I mostly started with matpat, and i enjoy seeing others like 8-bit Ryan having fun and making their own ideas. If we can keep things healthy and focus on the fun, that's something to strive towards. We all experience these games differently, so why not share that knowledge?
In the 5th grade I was bullied for liking FNAF, especially the lore. I left this franchise then and there after being a part of the community since the release of the first game, since I was 6. After one of your videos popped up on my fee again. I came back to this franchise that was my entire childhood, watching fan game playthroughs, collecting the books again, watching game theory. It hurts me to know that people think you're throwing us off, stay strong keep doing what you do

I'm actually really glad you mentioned that you want to bring back healthy theorizing. I tend to go towards other topics to theorize about because the FNAF community can be really dead set on a certain idea, and anything that clashes creates a whole war. I like the points you're making, and with Ruin coming soon, I can't wait to see what people got right, and what people missed.

It's a shame that you're getting the brunt of this hate. I think you do a good job explaining your mindset and where you're coming from with your theories (although, even if you didn't, that still wouldn't excuse hatred). I think this new wave of hatred in the FNAF community is an unfortunate consequence of FNAF reaching new levels of popularity (especially with younger audiences). FNAF has always been pretty popular with younger kids as something edgy but safe enough visually that an unknowing parent would buy it for their kids, but Security Breach's super kid friendly designs and aesthetic really amped that up. I've seen a lot of younger voices entering into our theorist community as a result these last few years, and, unfortunately, younger voices often (although not always) lack the maturity necessary to debate someone without resorting to acting in a hateful way. This isn't all bad, of course. The new rise of your channel, Id's fantasy, and Rye has breathed new life and variety in the community. I just hope that, in time, respectful debate will become more prevalent in this community because I know it has to be hard to be on the other end. (As a tip, I would treat twitter the same way we used to treat 4chan. There may be some good people there, but filter out the randos because most of them are going to be super hateful.)

1:10 your thoughts on those being parallels is valid and reasonable. All theories are interesting. True or not. They're fun to watch. This lore can be confusing at times regardless of what's what these days. In the end I enjoy the theories and other videos you do. It's always nice to see the passion you hold for this series.
Dude, just the fact that you were able to rise to the top theorists as fast as you did, being able to match and even convince Matpat of clues and lore, is enough to tell me you're doing FANTASTIC. When people get agitated because your theories are wrong, you're shaking the right trees! The point isn't to convince people you and ONLY you is correct, the point is to bring new perspectives into theorizing that could help nudge us towards answers we hadn't considered before. FNAF has had more established and nuanced lore since around 2015-2016, so of course people who have been around so long and have had certain lore cemented into them won't be easily swayed to new ideas. But that doesn't mean YOU'RE doing ANYTHING wrong!

Kinda well written. Just because they don’t agree doesn’t mean they should be mean, but they should criticize about it. Because if people don’t criticize, people would be less likely to improve and stay with a narrow outlook.
It’s something where I noticed how many keep talking about robot kids and such, often a thing being brought up

Not sure if you’ll see this or not but something else that hints at Gregory and Vanessa both being possessed by Afton is a voice line in the trailer for security breach. Vanessa tells gregory, “we can get out of here, both of us.” The only problem with this and your theory is that with your theory they don’t know that they are possessed or can’t remember what happened while they were being controlled. Unless they know that they are possessed and can’t do anything about it, this voice line confirms your theory. Just thought I’d say this.
I feel like this was bound to happen. Scott or whoever is behind FNAF now needs to help clarify a few things so the theorists and community can all have a fresh start. It’s too complicated, there’s lingering pieces from previous games from ago we still don’t know about. The community was destined to fracture
No, he doesn't. He already made it EXPLICITLY CLEAR once that all the FNAF books take place in different continuities to the games. The reason he hasn't said anything more in the subject is because NOTHING HAS FUCKING CHANGED! This is why it's baffling to me that some fans are so aggressive. It's 100% clear that Scott didn't have the story planned ahead of time. Even if he did settle the debate, not all of the clues would fit and there would be a lot of reconning required. I like the theorizing because it's taking a scattered mess of information and pulling something interesting out of it. Not something worth sending death threats over.

I think people who are haters are just jealous of you that in 2 years you became so popular. I really love your theory videos! I started watching MatPat and took what he said in his theory videos as fact, but since discovering your channel and also other channels, like the ones you mentioned at the beginning, really expanded my mind on different perspectives of the lore and I even started making my own conclusions based on ALL the information. what I'm basically saying is that I heavily encourage others to do the same and stop hating on others just because they have a different mindset. Its not going to get them anywhere and its maybe even just making them angrier and less tolerant for... no reason 😭💀

Tbh that’s what everything needs. When I used to paint or draw, taking a break and coming back with a fresh eye or even turning it upside down, you see things that you didn’t see before. I appreciate you and your videos a lot! I said it before but I love the music you add and the different points and tension lol I miss the three bye’s at the end but these theories have been really refreshing; to have someone new with different ideas but whose still been following the franchise for a long time.
The lore has gotten so tense and intricate that some of the fun has floated away. So I’m excited for when Ruin comes out 😉
Negativity and harsh opinions can be really hard on your mental health, but there are always still folks like myself who support you and are excited for you 🙂🫶🏻

But the mimic is looked at as a similar parallel to baby as new information has been presented .
Presenting ideas offering up new pieces to a puzzle doesn't mean they must be correct but that they may fit. It all depends on new info
This is a very compelling theory- I was largely on board with the idea that the mimic story was exactly in the FNAF timeline, but this genuinely convinced me otherwise. The dots connect quite nicely

I don't know if you've read any of my comments, but I've been trying to articulate my thoughts, where I agree and disagree. They've always been intended to be further theorizing or investigation of the ideas brought up. Anyone who's moving past constructive criticism is not someone I'd like to interact with. (I've encountered plenty of people scrutinizing my theories, some past what I'd say is constructive, about my perspective on Tales not being canon. It's the life you live right now on that side of the FNAF fandom, and I hate it, though it is satisfying when a point really gets through.)

I've been repeatedly surprised and disappointed by not only this community but online communities in general. If what many prominent online figures are saying is true, many people form together to cyberbully and attack them and others, and this is not okay. I understand that it's easier to say this kind of thing when it's online instead of face to face, but I DO NOT understand disrespect among communities just because there are differing opinions. I've noticed that the AR endos can wear any suit, ranging from the Classics to the Nightmares, and imitate any animatronic. They heavily remind me of the mimics, though I doubt that's what Scott intended.

I agree with you tho, the FNAF community these days is honestly really awful because of this stupid book debate. You don't deserve any of the hate that you've ever gotten for simply throwing out your ideas. One thing I've been trying to do (especially recently) is provide multiple perspectives so that you can come to your own conclusions as you see fit, and I think this is something a lot of theorists need to start doing instead of religiously clutching on to their beliefs. It's unfortunate because I LOVE theorizing, but sometimes others make it impossible to do - I respect you for staying strong and standing your ground!

Im actually really happy to see one of the bigger theorists here on RUclips actually address just how toxic it has become to express your own theories on the franchise. It's something I've noticed and it's why I tend to not say anything unless it's relevant, like "yes I completely agree" or "of that's the case, how would that explain this?" Like you gotta be really really careful about what you say and it didn't used to be that way. We all used to be so open and friendly, like "well actually, thos happened and it caused this.. blah blah" and just have a friendly discussion vs now where we have constant debates and so many people are split on different things, such as the books, and I'm sure when the movie comes out, 1 it's gonna be awesome, but 2 it'll probably cause controversies. Like the fact that it seemingly takes place at the FNAF 1 pizzeria but Vanessa is there, sure most of us know it's meant to be an alternative timeline/version of the story, but there's bound to be people who's first introduction to the franchise ends up being the movie. And I think that having the other forms of media, as amazing as they are, is kinda what caused most of this to happen. Back when it was just the games it was a simpler time. But do not take this as im hating on the new movie or on the books, just stating that they may have caused or may in the future cause controversial views.
I could be biased here, but I think you're right on the nose with a lot of this stuff, especially the chip on Baby's arm I'm surprised no one else I've seen has mentioned this yet!

I’ve loved how you always try to challenge assumptions and bring up new ideas in your theories. Seeing your videos really showed me how a different perspective can completely change the story, and I love hearing about the obscure details like the clock and the eyes (which blew my mind!). The chip in hand unit feels very solid to me. Looking at different ideas is the only way to figure out what’s actually going on, and I think your theories are always super interesting. Remember there’s so many of us who love you!

The FNAF community has definitely become more aggressive with every release of Tales. I think the problem is so many people believe one thing is canon, which has yet to be proven, and confuse their “theories” with canonicity. No one has a correct answer. You can still be respectful to other’s ways of thinking while ALSO believing in your own theory.
This is a great video and really hope we get some definitive answers soon, just so the community can come back together!
I want to send all the virtual hugs to John, he always seems like such a sweet person and I always enjoy the fresh takes he has on the lore, whether I agree with his conclusions or not. It's always so shitty to see people being harassed just for having a new take on something. Especially with the convoluted nature of fnaf lore it's almost impossible to be 100% on anything that has happened and people need to learn that there's almost always a different way to look at things. Just let people enjoy things and if you can't stand someone disagreeing with you just don't engage with their content, it's that easy.

Theories were always fun for me. Seeing people solve something that takes years amazes me. Security Breach is all over the place, so I’m glad that they’re theorists trying to solve it. The different perspectives is cool too, seeing people look at the lore from different angles.
