I am so happy it has helped out. That is great to hear that you are making an edible cell model out of cake. If you need to shape the cake into a design, I would recommend freezing the cake before you sculpt your shape as it will be easier to work with. Have fun with this!
Before you put the cake mix in the pans put butter or margarine but you must put a small amount of flour in the pan then the cake comes out of the pans easy.
Thank you! I have not used Blue Bonnet before so I am not sure on that one. Other than butter, I have used baking spray or Wilton cake release for pans that are very detailed, such as a character pan. Hope that helps.
I have not made that size cake before. However, if I did I would slightly increase the time used for a 9x13 cake pan shown on the back of the box. So, I would check the cake at around 30 minutes. Insert the toothpick into the center of the cake and if it comes out clean, the cake is done. If not, put the cake back in the oven for a couple more minutes and recheck. Hope that helps.
@@MamasPricelessParties I did research and made the cake in an 11x7 casserole dish late last night and came out taller and moist by decreasing to 325 (box says 350) and baked for 55 min with 3 toothpick checks (so maybe 50 min without opening oven door). I initially set timer for 30 minutes, then another 15 min and then 10 minutes for a total of 55 minutes with three oven openings to check. Just thought I’d share for those who have smaller households and want to make a smaller cake with a Betty Crocker cake mix. Thank you for replying and happy Monday.👍👍👍🤗🤗🤗 .
