We’ve previously shown loading bulk 9mm on the Dillon RL1100 as well as mass converting .223 to .300 BLK. This time, we’re seeing if progressive .223 loading still yields precise results!

I’d love to see some more LNL content, this same setup would have worked there as well, only 4 stations in use.
Can’t wait for the next show, thanks Gavin
Gavin, you know how much I like that rifle and load! Good job getting such great accuracy with the progressive. It can certainly be done!
Thanks Guy! Yes, you know first hand how good that rifle is :)
I've been trying to get .223 Lapua brass for over a year now. Stuff is unobtanium!
No it's not
@@KZ-qs4rwso where is it?
@@KZ-qs4rwyeah, tell me where to find it.
@@peterslaby9782 dudes probably selling them 250 a box on gun broker
Impressive first group. Especially when you consider that first shot was from a cold bore.
Beautiful rifle, great job, and wow terrific groups!
Great stuff!
Thank you for watching!
Really neet piece of equipment...I just don't see me getting one. I'm pretty happy with my Lee Classic Turret.
Thanks for posting.
3 shot groups are nice, but id love to see 10 to 15 shot groups, maybe spread over a couple different aim points and merge all the data as if it were one grouping
Amazing. What role does the RL1000 play? Is it really that consistent? Can a Frankford Arsenal X-10 duplicate the results?
Most of the magic is in the powder dispenser...
great results Gavin ... question when you did the chamber did you cut it "OAL" with those 77 grn bullets in mind to optimize ... ?
Thanks ... have a great Thanksgiving
Are you building this same 223 rem trainer also in 6ARC?!(what would the cost be roughly?!
Can you compare the RL1100 with the Frankford X-10 ?
Could you make a lefty version?
I could never get my Dillon to throw consistent charges in my .308….. what the hell has he done to get his to run so smooth…..also, no sticking of brass in resizing? No brass lube on the cases? The case lube gunks up your rifle big time
I assumed he was resizing in a separate operation or it was fresh brass and he was just rounding the necks. My Dillon throws with an ES of .4 grains for rifle charges so if you find a node it could do pretty well
Yeah, it's amazing how smooth things operate when you actually know what you're doing. Reloading isn't for everyone.
@@TexasLeverGunner I do load .300 Win Mag, .308 and .223. I’m able to get consistent reloads using a slower method with annealing, electronic powder measures and proper resizing. Look at Erik Cortina. He’s got good methods. I load for competitions. I’ve been reloading since 1994.
I’m hitting milk jugs at 1,000 with a Mk-39 and an Mk-22 MRAD.
@@MountaintravelerEddie Oh, okay.
I've gotten pretty consistent loads for 223 out of my dillol xl750. I use ball powers and lubricate the dropper with graphite powder to help the gunpowder not stick to the dropper internals.
Looks like a really great load, but 3-shot groups are statistically BS
And he shot some 5-shot groups in the video as well.
Be-a-utiful !
What is your twist rate? Ty...
Which bipod is that? Looks like one of accu-tec's
Gavin, what muzzle brake is that please?
On an off topic comment what’s your thoughts on 6.8 western ?
How much would those rifles go for when you put them up on the website?
I just built two of them- waiting to finish custom cases to put these up for sale. If you send me an inquiry here: rifles.ultimatereloader.com using the form, we can get you a quote.
What stock is that?
Three dollar ammo, 5000 dollar rifle , 9000 dollar machine, who da thunk?
Have you ever made a rifle with an extra long barrel like 52"? The reason I ask is that you can only propel a bullet so fast by increasing powder charges before over pressure signs show up, but adding length to the barrel is free velocity. I imagine you would gain 30 fps for every inch of added length over and above 26" so by adding 26" you gain 780 extra fps. That gun could be an absolute laser. Having a shorter flight time has many added benefits, less drop, less drift, you are using high BC projectiles so velocity is retained increasing energy on target which also increases your MPB distance. It would make for a hell of Texas hog gun sitting on top of a shooting tower using solid copper high BC Barnes LRX bullets and dispatching hogs with 22 cal. head shots from incredible distances.
MDT did a video on that about a year ago. Just look up “Cutting the world’s longest rifle to find the perfect barrel length”. They do all sorts of cool experiments. Highly suggest checking out their RUclips channel.
@@thedaz8 Cool, Thank you for the info. I will check that out
😊

Seriously at this point a reloading rig like that should be automated. What’s the purpose of the handle?? Add a component to insert the bullet and let the machine do it all.
Some trust their lives to a machine.
Other's to Only a human.
