You didn't have to change your decision. When you turned the money down that was a good point and you can still get the "good" ending if you do the right choices
Know lots of people that claim they still got the “bad” ending (whatever that is) and made every good decision besides taking her to Emhyr. Would rather just not chance it 🤷♂️
@@IAmRobPlaysThere are 2 "good" endings in the game and whether you take Ciri to Emhyr partially determines which of the "good" endings you get. Thing is - some people consider one of the "good" endings to be not really good and that's what they were talking about

Going to see Emhyr is not the best decision but he RIGHT decision. If you read the books as this guy has, you should know that Cirila struggles with how to make a difference and help people, especially those in need and that suffer. By becoming the Queen of Nilfgaard, she is able to do just that.
She's not though. As we saw with Emhyr, although the Emperor has supreme power they still don't get to do whatever they want. they're held down by politics, and Ciri would be much less ruthless against opposition. She would make Nilgard better for sure, but not change the world. As a Witcher, she's doing what she actually wants to do AND still helping people in need. You can see that in her expressions even if you ignore the dialogue
@@tyson8576 As a witcher, she cannot enact the change she really wants. The difference between Ciri and everyone else is that she actually holds power to change society.
@ she doesn’t though. Changing society is inherently a political thing, she could do it with her power but that would be a dictatorship and the complete opposite of Ciri. She hardly has more sway as a leader than the general guy would have, sure she would use it differently but that’s not what you’re saying
Very much enjoying this series. I know everyone has there own opinion on the choices you make, the important thing is you are enjoying your playthrough and do things you want to do. Thank you for all the entertainment you provide. And i can't wait until you get to blodd and wine. Probably my favorite part of the game even though everything in this game is a masterpiece
Geralt doesn't care who rules where so why people think Geralt would want a free north doesn't make much sense. Killing Dijkstra to save Roche is the right move in my opinion.
It’s the right geralt move. But it’s so damn stupid. Roche sacrifices all of the north just to have kind of free temeria. That’s just treason nothing else. Dijkstra wants to unite the north so that they can fight for their freedom and he actually succeeds with it and wins the war.
I think people may be over-projecting their personal feelings onto you and your playthrough. Taking Ciri to Emhyr does potentially impact the ending, but it doesn’t deliver the “bad” one. You made the “correct” key decision anyway, which was turning the money down and validating Ciri.
2:08:17 AGREED. Book reader here as well, can’t stand Triss. I think a lot of people would be on your/my side if they read them as well 😂 Also, Yen is just extraordinary anyway. Triss’ voice annoys the hell outta me every time 😅

Thank god you went back to change taking Ciri to see Emhyr. Last video had me yelling at my tv to not take her. And I know yall, taking her doesnt guarantee she gets "that ending" but skipping the visit will cancel out that ending all together, so like Rob says, why risk it.
Idk if you have an Xbox or PC but I highly recommend The Witcher 2 after playing 3. I didn't like it when it 1st came out but going back after The Witcher 3 and knowing the story from the books I ended up loving it.
AI Overview: The majority of chat is saying Rob didn’t need to start over as he would have still gotten “good” ending anyways. Rob is apparently playing it safe and doesn’t care what you think😂
You need new armour, the cat gear you’re running is early game armour and really low level. Also taking ciri to emyhr doesn’t result in a bad ending, in my opinion it’s the best ending in the game. Edit: craft some decoctions as well, alchemy is strong. Edit 2: you got better armour later on nevermind.
I still feel like Dijkstra was right, giving the entire north just so Temeria would become a vassal state is a terrible idea but the game puts you on this hard scale where you decide if Roche's life is worth saving versus the future of other nations.
I always saved Roche because I couldn’t imagine Geralt would know or frankly care about the outcome of the war. Roche was good to him and Dijkstra already fucked around once. It’s on him if he wants to find out again.
"Ida outright refused." Ida is an interesting character in the game. She is basically Avallach's counterpart among the Aen Siedhe - an Aen Saevherne - that is extremely tight-lipped about almost everything. The idea that she would help to fight against the Aen Elle is pretty laughable. It might have been possible if Avallach had asked her himself, but I think that would have required him to show his cards a bit too much.
I checked out after season 2 but after hearing you saying you're watching season 3 I'll give it a go, even though I know it's gonna be terrible. Might as well see the last season with Henry's Geralt.
Really surprised you still haven't crafted the White Raffard's potion, it heals you for full. You should check out the alchemy tab every once in a while to see your new diagrams. Also you should turn enemy upscaling on before starting the DLCs because you're gonna be way overleveled
The game tends to mix up multiple songs from the OST during gameplay, so this isn’t an actual song on the OST, as it is a variation of Vegabond/Kaer Morhen. You can only find this exact sound here: ruclips.net/video/WwKiZk3z5wI/видео.htmlsi=Ss3hVdo_mGjv5xl1 but as I said, the song playing with that specific strumming is most like the songs Kaer Morhen and Vegabond on the Witcher III OST by Marcin Przybyłowics, if you want to be able to stream similar songs on Spotify/other streaming platforms.
if you like bombs you might wanna try to get the wolf witcher armor which gives buffs to bombs and is the best armor for an all around build. Plus its hella drippy
Reason of State is one of my least favourite quests in the game. Dijkstra should be smarter than just showing himself and betraying Roche and Thaler in front of Geralt. He should also know he'd stand no chance in a fight with him. Such a poorly written quest that breaks character. Him ruling the north is better than whatever Roche and Thaler agreed. Shame you have to kill him every time because there's no way Geralt would allow his friends to be killed like that.
You lost me at season 2 bro! Season 3 actually sort of got back into the books in the last couple of episodes. Well big picture wise everything else was just nuts!
EDIT: SPOILER below, apparently In my opinion the ending that you get after meeting Emhyr is the most logical one. I've read the books and I would not let Ciri nowhere near Emhyr, so in my first playthrough I let Ciri become a witcher but in my second playthrough and finding out what Emhyr plan actually is, I 100% support visiting Emhyr
