Hello Rosanna. Glad you discovered my teaching. Thanks for watching. Go to my website and check out my blog. It has a bunch of free content. svagrikfineart.com/gabor-svagrik-blog
Thanks, Gabor. I always learn something new. I liked your comment about the number of values and that if everything is important, nothing is important. Very well put. Appreciatively.
I just found you on FB and have now subscribed to your channel. Wow what a great tutorial!! thank you for sharing your talent and I look forward to more.
Great lesson, Gabor. I very much agree with your landscape painter recommendations... including Ralph Oberg. I fondly remember Ralph coaching me on one outdoor painting session as I was struggling to lay in trees in a convincingly random way. He said: "Remember the story of the three bears: Papa tree, Mama tree, and Baby tree". These guys (you included) have so many good lessons for us. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it Carl. Ralph was right. It does come down to trial and error. The more we do the more we will figure out what works and what does not. There is no special receipt book but it helps to know what have worked for the ones that walked before us.
I find it very helpful that you simplify your process down to value, big shapes and design. There is so much to think about and these principals are so important to the outcome. Thank you so much!
Thanks a lot for this long-awaited demo. Your paintings have special character and distinguishable. Thank you for the useful explanations and brush work demo in real time video.
I forgot how much I enjoy your tutorials.

Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching. One must adhere to foundational principals for more successful paintings

You a re very welcome. Thank you for your kind words. I will try to post more of these
Really great value study Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it.
I love the looseness which is what I struggle with. I picked up some Ace Hardware brushes like you use and am anxious to try them out! Great video!
Thanks for watching. Enjoy that brush. The brush will force you to have lots of paint in it. It does not function well with little paint
@@gaborsvagrik4754 Exactly what I need to learn! Thank You!
These little studies are a great idea as I have been doing recently on my own work. Great study. What no brush that was loaded, is is an Egbert?
Glad you enjoyed the demo. It’s an extra long Filbert
Thanks for the demo !!
You are very welcome
Many thanks Gabor. Could you say if you used any medium with the paint, and if so, what?
I did not use any mediums for this particular painting
OK thanks
Lovely thanks
Thanks for watching
What kind of paper r u using and is this oil or acrylic?
This is a oil demo. I am using Wallis sanded paper.
Nice video Thk u
Thank you and thanks for watching the video
👍👍👍👍👍
👍
What brushes are you using? Is that an extra long filbert?
One of them is a hardware store brush. The other is extra long filbert #103 from Utrecht
I can watch you paint all day, thank you this is very helpful. “We can’t jump right to the desert” haha so true
Happy to hear you enjoyed it. I have some other ones that I will post
@@gaborsvagrik4754 it’s a great starting point for me, I am just starting canvas work. I took your rock painting course and enjoyed that as well
@@sfcucci Oh good. I guess my timing was right
Check out the Hudson River School Artists, & the American Tonalist landscape artists who followed.
