The Greg Wilson train version of the illusion (the same version performed by his father Mark Wilson during his career as a magician) utilizes a second female assistant inside the platform/table who extends he legs out the bottom of the train box after the magician and his assistant rotate the train box so that the end of the train box briefly faces away from the audience! It is an old and overperformed illusion in the history of magic (or as the late, great James " The Amazing" Randi preferred to call it - conjuring)!
