Ketu (Sanskrit: केतु, IAST: Ketú) ( ) is the descending lunar node. 'Ketu' is said to be the body of Rahu, after the head of the asura was cut off by God Vishnu. In Hindu mythology, Ketu is generally referred to as a "shadow" planet. It is believed to have a tremendous impact on human lives and also the whole creation. In some special circumstances it helps someone achieve the zenith of fame. Ketu is often depicted with a gem or star on his head signifying a mystery light.
Astronomically, Ketu and Rahu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they move on the celestial sphere. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the north and the south lunar nodes. The fact that eclipses occur when the Sun and the Moon are at one of these points gives rise to the myth of the swallowing of the Sun and the Moon by the demon snake.

Someone I know had this placement; and in his own mind and with his bizarre 'intuition' decided to attack me.
Intuition is not mental illness...and vice versa.
IMO, these are generally dangerous, hidden.. dark and malevolent tendencies. I'm sorry but that's the truth. When you see this in a chart, it's generally other stuff going on..and you have to look at & consider the whole chart in it's entirety and it's complexity.
There's a lot else going on, usually.
The 'intuition' can therefore not be relied upon as an indicator not tied up with personal motives/ or perception.

Since it's with the Moon, it's as though my strength comes from feeling this emptiness constantly, I learn a lot about how 'wanting and desiring' are distorted by the currents of emotions and thought patterns. Humbling energy. Always pitied myself, as time goes on though it's lead me to unattached expansion, learn to be at peace with it :)

I have this placement in my 5th. I absolutely adore my mom but have always been extremely fearful of losing her since I was born really. Have a great mother. I have ketu-moon conjunction in the 1st house. Upon consulting with a learned pundit, I have found a very effective remedy to be to piss in a north-easterly direction twice a day, at dawn and at dusk, then jump up and down on the spot 3 times saying "nee". After this, ketu and the moon are appeased and I live a successful, wealthy and happy life full of bananas, elephants, flower garlands and ghee-based sweets every single day.

My mother has Jupiter Moon Ketu conjunct in the 4th house.
Very difficult childhood. Lived with her grandmother, didn’t even know she had any siblings. Later was adopted by one of her relative. Moved to another city. However, was later taken back by her mother because she learnt they literally treated her as a maid and not a daughter. The whole family is extremely spiritual.
I have Moon Ketu in 4th house as well. Obviously I have a devout religious mother. And I have a few depressive episodes sometimes.

You explained me so well! I struggle with that everyday, it is hard to be nice... How can you be nice to someone who behaves so negatively towards you? From the start I thought I can never be her favourite child. She will never love me, that I am nothing to her! I wanted to leave the house as soon as I could from the 3rd grade. She loved my younger sister (she is 2 years younger than me) always more than me and it hurt knowing it! Violence was a part as well, and a lot of other negativity from her side. Then my sister died and it was tough dealing with it because I knew that the only person I love in this whole universe is my sister. Friends fade away, mother was bad and I don't get along with my relatives and father was always busy and I didn't got along with him as well.. Only person who was by my side always was my sister (we are both sisters and I am a female, this is my father's phone, so don't get confused by a male name). I admit that I was jealous of her and hated her for one whole year thinking she is the cause why my mother don't love me.. Thankfully I am out of that phase but her death bought huge depression and I am not out of it still.. My moon and ketu is in Scorpio in 10th house (my sister was a Pisces moon so we got along really well). After her death I realized my mom was heartbroken and she was in pain! She was never heartbroken, even when her father died but seeing her like this I realized another thing, that she wouldn't have EVER grieved for me like that... Soon after 1 month of her death my mother's mother died on my birthday! It was the worst, she never looks at my birthday the same way now, nor she can and I understand it.. Everyday I pass through the same place where I was shopping when I received the message about my granny's death on my birthday, and that reminds me daily of the stress I have in my life. So true. Mines in 6th house navamsha. As a kid I saw a headless figure at my.feet. Didn't harme, but I was traumatized at the time because it wasn't a dream or sleep paralysis. I thought it was alien abduction and also felt now that .older that it was ketu visiting me or ancestor's visiting me.

I was very afraid of the dark as a child, I saw a lot of unexplainable spiritual things happen. Yes depression and moody. Always trying to figure out who I am and where I'm supposed to be headed in life. Always felt like an odd one out in school. My mother left when I was about 12/13 y.o. Don't see her much still n only talk by phone at times. Don't talk to my dad or see him either much. No family out here where I live and I am afraid to drive because my mind drifts at times n I don't want to be the cause of an accident. I used to have bad dreams of getting into an accident (that never occurred in this life time).

I have Moon and Ketu conjunction in the 5th house. Luckily Moon is at 26 degrees and Ketu is at 7 degree with different Nakshatra. I get confused a lot upto my 30 yrs. Conjunction in 9th/10th. My mom is always in the church. We barely saw her growing up. She was Either at church or work (4th house - Virgo).
