Emmanuel was with smart with his tactic but Donghyun was just better overall.
As much as we liked the matches of those equal in strength/skills, this is actually the sad part of these 1on1s, those who are competitive in spirit will always pick the ones w/ the same skill level as them.

These 4 episodes and testomonials by the actual season 1 Candidates was enough to know this show isn't enough about competition it is subjective and swayed to go in the way of ratings. Next time stop being delusional and swing your chopstick at me just to get Have Thors hammer come down on it. Last thing what about that elbow to Emmanuelles face when he took the ball and the 10+ half chokes being used. According to other matches it should have been stopped when he struck his when the other guy did in other actor/bodybuilder fight. This isn't an arguement you can win. I have proven my points with evidence and the biast shown on this show to different characters. Case closed unless chopstick chris has more to say?
I'm sad that Emmanuel being the only brotha got eliminated but he had the best performance of anyone 1v1. That was like a world title match. Like another commenter said, I hope there's a wild card option that will allow him to come back.

yo that ippon guy literaly did submission to his opponent, (where he hold his arm on his back so that guy cant even move) when the ball is not even with his opponent. its not a foul it felt sour. that guy cant even tap out and the referee didnt break them off :/

Actually I didn’t know about Kim donghyun, but through the show, physical, I became known you. This is one of the greatest matches in whole games. I know he had confidence to win against Amanuel.

I mean, if submission was allowed, the match would’ve ended in 7 seconds or less. There were lots of opportunities for leg entanglement and heel hooks, back exposure the whole time, arm got isolated multiple occasions for arm bars, wrist locks, etc etc. But yeah, this isn’t ADCC
It’s confusing, they’re clearing grappling, but cannot use jiujitsu? Then the rules are just begging for strong people to just grab the ball and hold it. No problem giving your back if there is no sub threat anyway

This match was so fun to watch, props to both Kim Donghyun and Emmanuel. Both the technique, grip strength, physical and mental strength they both have. Emmanuel was insane for enduring it for so long and clearly he has Donghyun's respect, love seeing that. Well done to them both👏🏻👏🏻
Plus I'm so used to seeing Kim Donghyun on more comedic variety shows that this really made me remember how he's awesome as a fighter too.

Donghyun was a pro mma fighter, and is still active in practicing it in his mma gyms with his young pro mma fighter students/juniors. He's obviously fighting every instict to punch/pound or put on chokehold his opponent as I believe it isn't allowed. If it was, they would've been done in less than a minute considering his position, lol. Great match given by Emmanuel though. Surely his great physique matches his strength.

really wished emmanuel had more screen time. dude is strong as fuck. would've been more fun to see him tackle the other challenges :( but this was a great match so i guess its not all for nothing. i hope they bring him back in season 3

the octagon is dong hyun AKA stun gun's wheelhouse, emmanuel pretty much had no chance but his strength was off the charts, emmanuel was just gripping the ball to himself for majority of this match, bro is strong as fuck but too bad dong hyun had more battle experience/was in his element with the octagon, dong hyun also knows how to challenge/handle another human body within that setting especially
If do hyun didn't beat emmanuel, he would have probably won the show or even get top 3/4 it was literally Godzilla vs kong fight right here

Watched this last night. One of the best fights, the next one is the female MMA vs Male. In this match, Korean MMA legend won by technique and experience, Foreign dude fought by pure strength and grit.
The way the former won the ball is pure skill and was a sick move; on Mount, he sneaked his right knee and used his bodyweight to trap the other's left arm, then both hands grabbed the ball and stood up.

@@mingi1489no submissions either. Seems like anything meant to deliberately hurt is not allowed. This includes cradles, toe holds, leg locks, heel hooks, blood chokes, wrist locks, slicers, etc.

I really love Season 1 but after the controversy about the real winner; it made me not to take Season 2 seriously.
I have respect for all the contestants but the production team can suck balls. I just enjoy watching it to see the strength of the contestants but when it comes to who is going to win? I couldn’t care less.
The 2nd placer from last season went to therapy because of how traumatic it is for him to be treated unfairly. For some he maybe a snowflake but if you’re an athlete who gives your all, losing is a bad thing. What more when you lose unfairly?

I think it's pathetic that an MMA fighter is feeling so good about beating a simple fitness model, especially when how he won was by trying to strangle the guy to death. Emmanuel won that one for me, he played honourably and was stronger than his opponent, both physically and mentally. His self control that stopped him from lashing out or strangling the guy back was admirable. Emmanuel is unforgettable

I am extremely disappointed with this season, especially after the allegations of cheating against the cyclist last season and I rewatched it the evidence is there. It is a Korean show let them promote for their ratings but it will never be a true competition until Westerners, other Asians, and Africans have an equal amount of people. Also not everyone there was natural. Certainly, a great number were on PEDs
