    Thank you for posting this video I was born in ponta do pargo in the 90s and is nice to see how they lived despite being very similar to the years I lived there

    Thank you for sharing your home video of Madeira. It was funny watching your family members reacting to the movie camera. It's like your grandpa told them it was a movie camera, so don't stand still, wave! My grandparents are from the Açores. Your video reminded me of our family get togethers recorded in 8mm in the early 60's. My wife and I plan to visit Madeira this coming May. It would be fun to locate the homes/buildings in this video while we're there to see how the area has changed. Do you know the location of the "Casa Santos" building?

    Thanks for sharing this amazing video, I am from Ponta do Pargo , I was born on the 80's but I am thrilled to watch the old Ponta do Pargo and its people. If you have more, could you upload it?

      Povo.humilde parece.evangelicos .,mas.eram.cayolicos.praticantes ,era só trabalho.e.missa as mulherestrabalhavam nas.fazendads e no bordado e os homens emigravam ,e o presidente de o Salazar o nome.ja diz era um azar na política, o povo passava fome ,não havia ganhos ,os casais.tinham muitos.filhos.,eram criados a solta ,comendo figos ,maçã, subiam nas árvores e.bcomiam tudosem lavar., não havia agrotóxicos como hoje .ainda se via bois na.rua burros não humanos mad.de verdade levando mantimentos. De um lado para outro ainda havia estalagens do tempo de.jesus .,eu.era.crianca e emigrei o meu pai já era.emigrado .família grande .
