- For Jonathan, the undertaking of a solo world trip on a motorcycle was never meant to be conventional.
For his jouney he chose the same make and model that his Grandfather rode; a 45 year old Redditch-built Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It may not be the most appropriate or reliable of bikes to take on such a trip. It might break down, it might struggle on some of the terrains it'll cross, it might not be the safest way to travel.
In fact, Jonathan is counting on it so that he might travel a little slower, get to know the people he'll meet on the way a little better and discover some answers that he's been searching for.

Ride Safe.
This inspired me so much back in 2015. Now I own a 2014 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 STD (bought brand new) and go motocamping every weekend. I owe it to this guy and his story.
I still do it today. :)
You guys are Awesome!!! Showing real people with real motorcycles in best short movies youtubers can watch.

+Stories of Bike That's great news, looking forward to it mate. Thanks.
I absolutely love the editing you did with this one! Stories of Bike, please, never stop making these videos.
I met him in Jakarta last month with his Enfield. Now, you guys might call him hipster or anything, but you probably never ride in Jakarta traffic or Indonesia's road yet, it's probably the worst place in earth to ride a bike, it'll take a serious balls to do it. So I respect him for that, and I wish him a safe trip.
The most underrated channel i came across yet.
I appreciate and respect you putting the information about beyond blue. It's an issue that has affected my life, and I'd hate for anyone else to have to deal with it. Thank you for that.
Just discovered this channel and watched 3 vids back to back feels just so real, just regular people riding regular motorcycles its so relatable. I my self started riding 2 years ago never really paid much thought to riding a bike till me and my wife had to go to separate sides of the city for work a friend of mine suggested I buy a motorcycle for my self I started learning at 32 and here i am almost two years now and my commute to and from work is the best part of my day love riding and on day that i can't ride i miss it soo much. Great vids keep up the good work
I cannot thank you guys enough for posting these inspirational motorcycle vids. And yes, they do help inspire me to push my personal envelope. I'm on my 5th motorcycle in 40 years of motoring, (2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50).
Excellent Video dude!! I appreciate your effort. I have a Royal Enfield back in India. Its popularly known as "Bullet" out there. To me, it's not just a possession, its an identity. I love all the English Motorcycles. By the end of the day, "Its not just wine, even iron becomes valuable over time, if it rolls on two wheels and has "Royal Enfield' stamped on its fuel tank"
I also ride a 1962 royal enfield bullet made in England, so nice to ride, people turn their heads to spot the thumping, I find the bike so appealing--That's what differentiates bullet from 21st century motorcycles....... #happy-thumping....
You always get your answers ridding a bike!
This enfield is beautiful!

Born in Britain, survived in India... The Royal Enfield !!!
Amen
*Born in Britain, raised in India... Royal Enfield*
not really 'raised' ha
Interceptor and gt 650 is made in India of Enfield so yes it is raised by Indian parents.
From Great Britain,To the World ....Enjoy!!!!
I watch this video almost everyday
love it!
Motorcycles are much more than a mode of travel, they all have there own soul, you sit over a engine and you fell its personality, you lean into corners you become part of it, it supplies its character but you are its brain, you can learn how to break hard on a wet road, discover it traits while it teaches yours. the fun of riding with friends on winding roads, the difference of bends going uphill to down, to become a expert and learn how to survive is a skill, but once you achieve this it becomes a incurable addiction..
Nailed it.
Dude, were you on drugs when you wrote this? I mean this in a positive way as it is very perceptive. Ride on brother
Well said

Outstanding film, as always. You guys ROCK. Cheers, gents.

Great video guys, i take motorcycle tours in India on Royal Enfields and i have to agree with Jonathan that these bikes look great and are relatively easy to fix, If you wanna ever do a story at a height of 18380ft, get in touch and Jonathan Bon voyage! Have a safe and happy trip.

Saw this Guy on Chasing the Bullet which is Brilliant 😎
great job boys. thanks for Jon's story. Checking out his blog now to c how the trip went. ty
First off, love the vid. secondly, that's a real bullet, with a remarkable story, the first decade here in Briton, winner of multiple sporting events and with innovations like the swinging arm etc, etc. most of its history since the mid sixty's however continued in India where production was carried on with great skill and longevity which has made it the icon it is today. sadly it seems people are fooled into thinking their model is made in Redditch. Mabe to add value? Not important to me. Mine was my granddads, a 1950 350. it was my dads first bike, then he swapped it back for a triumph side car. then given to me when i was a teenager in the early 80s. the last one made in redditch was early 60s. The first thing noticeable is the bulge where the points/ignition is housed at the top of the timing case. the other thing is the frame above the gearbox. only made like that in India. other things obvious on sight could just be sensible updates like switch gear and instruments that are not original, but the fact its called a 1969 alone is a bit of a give away. I'm not trying to be clever, but credit where due. this bike has its own history and value. its a genuine Indian made classic. No offence intended and i hope your journey is amazing.
Congrats for your bike! I have a bullet Classic 500. Royal Enfield are amazing bikes!
Great story as usual...Thank you Stories of Bike!
Royal Enfield ..... The name is enough to satisfy your pride... ❤️
viewing this video once every other month. ❤

This was great. Nice way of advertising too and for the right cause. Some other channels should take note (ahem 'drive')
jonathan u rocks bro.....i just loved it..
Beautiful motorcycle!
So nice of you. Here at southern part of India sad story happened at the beginning of yr 2000. More than thousands and thousands of royal Enfield has been scrapped for the iron and aluminium at a cost of Indian Rs 1500 to 2500.. Mainly G2 and B series engine. 1962 to 1974 . Reason behind is the introduction of 100cc vehicle by the Japanese from 1986. Money crisis in the country. Fuel prices hike . Now people are searching these vehicles for sale. Pricing not less than Rs 200000. Narrow escape by remaining oldies and long live. I own a couple of them
Excellent! I look forward to keeping abreast of your trip to here...
Good luck.
I bought used 500 2014 standard since it's discontinued in India but the machine is beast🔥

Brought a few tears to my eyes😢 but in a good way👌 Loved it😍 When I grow up I want to own a bullet🏍 (have a Suzuki tu250x now because I'm a shortarse beginner hahaha and it kinda looks like a mini version of a bullet😎)
Gabriella Jaro Ciao soon on RE.
Just make sure it leaks oil if it doesn't worry that you have run out of oil . it's supposed to do that especially the ci engines
Santa Catarina! \o/
Another great episode! =D
Fantastic!
Great video - great bike - great music
I hope you find some answers
Great video, what did you say from 5:05 thru 5:16 I cant quite pick it up. Enfields are true classics and lifelong friends. I ride a Moto Guzzi 750. Someday I will have an Enfield for a stablemate.
awsome !
there is saying "old is gold", i think it applies to old bullet. oh man characteristics of that engine you wont get in any other bike, thump from that silencers will hit your legs even if you are standing 10 feet away from it. in the open roads you can hear bullet engine beats from 1km away, its a royal to ride it. ofcourse you cannot re-produce it its a 2 stroke engine, 4 strokes never matches it, it will be unfair to compare them. RE India kept the brand alive, i am not a fan of new 350 and 500 RE, but 650 RE interceptor is promising.
RE is nostalgia.
what is the name of soundtrack? .its a nice version of take five
Nice vids, greetings from Costa Rica.
Bullet lover
Nice video.. always say yes
Absolutely
Bullet riding look like a riding a lines riding. and lovely ride. everyone likes.
Love it!
The Royal Enfield has a year long waiting list in India.
Could I suggest you look into @oneworldoneride , they rode across the globe from India, and just great as far as Bikers go.
At least give credit to the LEGENDARY musicians who wrote the background tracks!! It's beyond me why people don't always give musicians the credit they deserve.
It's called "Take 5" by Dave Brubeck
Hi Jonathan !! 😍
Nice video my Vater has also a Enfield bul. 500
