Lived all my child hood 24 years in Seattle..and then made the move down here in '98 to Granada..BEST decision i have ever made...The way of life, laid back and humble is priceless..Viva Nicaragua !!!!
I do really appreciate your videos. Im 63 and hardly can't wait to retire in Nicaragua. Hope we visit with you once i get there. Keep on the good job in your farm.
I moved from Switzerland (born amd raised) to Canada 25 years ago. Now I am ready to leave here and move on to Central America with Nicaragua being the top of my list followed by Guatemala, El Salvador or possibly Mexico or Costa Rica. I will be travelling the next couple years and checking them out. Can't wait to drink your coffee. I think moving abroad opens one's mind, makes us stronger & more resilient to adversity plus increases independence. Bein immersed into a different culture is very valuable and speaking another language opens a lot of doors and makes travelling in general more fun. I really look forward to the higher food quality.
I love your channel, my husband loves Nicaragua, and we are in a little farm building the house like you . we already retired, and that is the reason we came here because we don't like the snow in Virginia .
As I get ready to retire and move to Nicaragua in November I see the reason for me is the calmness of it I can still do some work creating coloring books so I can work when I want and just relax and enjoy life.
Such a nice guy describe Nicaragua in that way. Thanks for all the compliments. I was born in Nicaragua but I live in The Netherlands. I really apreciarte a person who talk in a positive way about Nicaragua. I lived there for a short time, but also I lived in Cuba, Costa Rica, Panamá, Spain, Denmark and. now The Netherlands. Sometimes I think of myself as having no identity, but when I see videos like yours, I feel nostalgic for that country. When I talk to someone here in Europe and I tell them where I was born they always say the same thing: ‘ah Nicaragua, a poor country, with many political and economic problems’, as if I don't know that country or maybe people think they are giving me new information. You are a really amazing guy for the way you express yourself about Nicaragua and their people.
Another interesting video :-) in case youu didn't realize, circular saw bllade bolts undo in the opposite direction to usual! - designed so the load against the blade teeth tighens the bolt and doesn't loosen off the bolt in operation
Early mornings with the sound of the birds and roosters. Quite afternoons in a hammock, the yummy tropical fruits and juices...the food of couse. Road trips, Apoyo Lake, and the Granadas Islands are my favorites in beautiful Nicaragua.😊
Lived in the States for 20 years, but my husband and Idecided to come back to Nicaragua, even before retirement because of all the reasons this young man talked about on this video. We opened a small business and we've been living in Nicaragua since 2009, and only travel to visit our children every 2-3 years. We prefer them to come and visit us here and enjoy life in Nicaragua.
I thank you for sharing your beautiful videos. I’m from Nicaragua I moved to California in the 70’s when I was a child. I visited my country this last January after many many years of not being back. People in Nicaragua are so warm and friendly. The food is delicious and cheap. I love to see the greenery, nature, the clouds white with blue skies in the background. I’m from Managua never been to Ocotal. I will visit Ocotal in my next visit to my lovely country. Thank you for showing my country to the world.
I love your channel. I am Nicaraguan living in California, and just came back from Nicaragua after 2 weeks being there and I enjoyed my country so much. My grandmother was from San Fernando, Nueva Segovia, so I it is a great pleasure to me watching your videos. My dream is to come back sooner than later to live in the motherland. Thanks for making these videos!
That's why you got to have a lot of money saved up. 100k it's like millions of Cordobas over there. So life is good over there if you got that kind of money. 100k in the States is barely being stable, but over there you are a millionaire!
Love all of your videos, and how you show and explain everything. Thanks for doing that. I hope one day my kids and family's realize how good of a life you can live in Nicaragua. Your cabin/house is looking good. Hope this year 2025, get to visit and buy coffee from your farm. Happy 2025 to you and Family. 👌👏🏼👏🏼🎉🎊🥰
Perfect video. The bug does indeed bite and then you can not get Nicaragua out of your mind. Can't wait to return. Good to see you're getting a good night of sleep now with a proper mattress.
I used to live in matagalpa and I recognized the accent from there on you but now I see you live in the segovias my hometown best place to live beautiful weather and beautiful people
@@EGCenteno_Nicyou will find that neither medicine (unless you really are sick and need medical assistance) nor the Nicaraguan government has barely any impact in the way you live your life there. Go back to your roots and enjoy our beautiful country 🎉
I’m from Nicaragua, but basically all my life I have lived in states for 37 years, I went to Nicaragua the last 2 years and I have great time, keep going cuz I like your videos and the way you are living in Nicaragua
i moved to Nicaragua as a single 59 years old woman with no children i was born in Nicaragua but i was raised in the USA with the economy and all i live here with lots of help from my neighbors i am the only one from my family here it is super nice and safe for me love love Nicaragua
Born and raised in Honduras, I moved to San Francisco California in 1987, I met a beautiful Nicaraguan girl and married her. We travel to Nica 3 times a a year. however when is time to leave Nica - we don’t want to go back to live a lifeless life.
My husband and I are planning to retire in Central America. Either Guatemala or Nicaragua. For most of us in the middle class would have to work until we’re in our 70’s or die to afford retirement in the USA.😢
We really enjoy your videos. We have been living in Costa Rica for almost 4 years permanently. We have been always wanting to come visit Nicaragua. What area is this video in? Where is your farm? We would love to hook up for coffee ☕ when we do come visit this Country. We too are coffee lovers and Costa Rica has delicious coffee also. I do know Nicaragua is more affordable than here in CR however it's still more affordable than USA. Quality of our lives outweighs anything else. You both seem to have a wonderful Quality of life there too. !! Blessings 🙌 And Pura Vida
Those hairy looking fruits are called rambutan in the Philippines. I personally do not like hot tropical environments. But like what you explain as the winter there. I like 60 to mid 70s degree with low humidity. I don't know what place that kind of weather has because I have not been able to travel. Chuck Holton, who is a reporter with CBN, lives in the mountains of Panama and claims he lives in such an area. He relocated from Americas southeast and moved due to high taxes and cost of living. He lives in a planned community but enjoys the way of life and his money goes much further. The cost of living in the states has become unaffordable for someone living on Social Security which is why so many seniors become expats.
Living in other cultures opens up your mind and permits you to be more creative. You are exposed to problem solving from different points of view, like fixing your brakes.
That ladder didn’t look like it was worth $70. Seems some things are much more expensive there. Fresh fruit and vegetables cheaper as you say but how about other things such as tool, hardware, electronics etc ? Furniture?
Excelentes vídeos bro, hopefully everything goes well with your farm, especially your coffee plantations where you are putting a lot effort. The only problem to live in Nicaragua is the people who controls the power.
Nice to have money. People dont work in nicaragua they depend on donations and remittance from everyone who has migrate to the usa or Europe hope you washed those jocotes diarrhea no bueno
Wow.. That's pretty cool.. American and German in my beautiful Nicaragua and my Born city Ocotal.. Wow.. Did you try the Somoto canyon that's you guys gonna like it.. Enjoy.

At age 57 I moved to Mexico from Memphis Tennessee and got married to a beautiful Latina. Best decision I ever made.

Hey Bryan! I hope you guys are well. I was aware of the bolts going the other way but it seemed that the threads where cross threaded.

Thank you for commenting! I know San Fernando it's a beautiful town.
I’m glad you said that because I’m thinking about moving there but at the same time I hear so much about the government there that makes me hesitate

I can't wait to move back to Nicaragua, there's no better feeling for me. Saludos desde Iowa!!
Agreed. I prefer the slower pace because I don't try anymore to keep up with the Joneses.
I used to live in matagalpa and I recognized the accent from there on you but now I see you live in the segovias my hometown best place to live beautiful weather and beautiful people

I am nicaraguan and looking at doing early retirement. I miss my roots and customs.
No medicine good luck not a government stable
@e7934 I worship God not the government.

I am counting the days to retire in Nicaragua. Blessings to you!
Very popular in Asia and called Rambutan. Would love to hear your story
Elaborate about how u obtained the property and was the process hard. Do u automatically receive residency/citizenship and as well your family. Etc.
i moved to Nicaragua as a single 59 years old woman with no children i was born in Nicaragua but i was raised in the USA with the economy and all i live here with lots of help from my neighbors i am the only one from my family here it is super nice and safe for me love love Nicaragua

Rambutan is what we call this ... similar to a Lychée. Well described with the taste. I love them and buy them at the Chinese Supermarket

Will you be getting starlink for your new home?
Darmstadt, Deutschland! Darmstadt literally translates to "Intestine City"! Es chistoso, no? :) Gracias por tus vídeos, Elton!

I’m considering trying to live in Nicaragua but the government does worry me a little as far as buying a property as an American.
Like fixing your brakes in Nicaragua
Managua 😅
We can't wait to move to Latin America! The new American dream is to leave America.
