Yeah, that's Sophia Crawford, she was the stunt double for lots of american films, foreign films and Buffy the Vampire Slayer! She is like the best stunt woman/fighter out there! :)
Oh thank gawd someone filmed this stuff. I did some (mainly zords) but should have done a lot more. This is Jeff's video, he was always on set (poor guy) this collection must have represented about 1 weeks' worth.
no way , trini we know is dead :O since when!!!!!!!!!!!! omg,, i can't believe that :'( *cry* and thank for those video ^^ i never expected that we can get a chance to see thsoe back scene
Thank goodness someone had the bother to film some of this stuff. It was all so long ago now, deep ancient history for Aussie film makers and yet so relevant and important. I only filmed the sets I was on, and everyone knows how I hate being called onto set so that's why I filmed so little BTS stuff. I wish I had done more.
They did for the longest time. It wasn't until around the time of the movie that they started bringing in the doubles. It's not that the cast didn't know how, they simply weren't allowed due to union rules. the first 2 seasons were non union, in which they did most of their own stunts, including the ones in the suits (when they weren't using Japanese footage that is).
The movie outfits were awesome. I always been curious about how they made one of my favourite movies as a child, and i find the actors were not inside the outfits!
Actually She was buffy's stunt double Seasons 1-4 and coincidentally Jeff Pruitt, they stunt coordinator for power rangers was also the stunt coordinator for Buffy Seasons 2-4.
1:50 LOL "It's morphin' time!" *five hours later* "Now just buckle this around there. No, not there. Ok now can you hand me my boots? Sheesh, this is a pain in the ass...."
Karan Ashley played Aisha, the character that replaced Trini (Thuy Trang) when the character left for a peace conference. same goes for Austin st John/Jason, and Walter Jones/Zack. they all had new characters come in to replace them in the show because they were tired of not getting equal pay as other rangers, namely Jason David Frank. Saban assumed it was a bluff, but it wasn't and they quit. and brought in 3 new characters/actors
there was no sentai footage in the movie. as far as the show goes, whenever they shot US footage, it really was them. this was back when the show was still non union, so the cast got in the suits whenever they were capable of doing the stunts for the most part. after the movie though, the actors weren't allowed to do it anymore. they have to get stunt people these days.
They really were in the suits in some of the scenes. in addition to the obvious ones in the command center where they aren't wearing the helmet, I believe they did some of the fight with Ivan's oozzlings or whatever their called because they originally planed to do it without the visors, so you could actually see the actor's faces. they scrapped that idea, and put the visors back in, but I believe they did do some of their own stunts. Most of it was their doubles though for legal reasons.
not in the movie, no. but in the first season (and part of the second) so they were, according to austin st. john at in an interview at powermorphicon. Jason David Frank also said so. he explained that anyone who knows martial arts can pick up on his fighting style when he was in the green ranger suit. especailly in the green candle eps.
They all had doubles. the action scenes with the suits were all doubles. they did have the actors train for the un morphed scenes, but even those had doubles on occasion.
yea cuz in japan the yellow ranger is a guy cuz yellow isnt a femine color in the usa its considered feminine but i guess the same goes 4 the stunt actor
So Tommy's flip was in reverse. Morphenomenal!
this has made me appreciate one of my favorite shows from my childhood even more.. i love the behind the scenes stuff.
thanks for posting it..

How come none of this is on the DVD ?
An audio commentary , deleted scenes nothing.
The blonde chick is Sophia Crawford!!! She is the best!!!!!! She also did the stunts for Buffy seasons 1-4.
Man bring back memories still watch wrestling it movie channels on fox 😀

that little combo thatshe did looked so familiar and that's because she was also Sarah Michelle Gellar's stunt double in the 1st 5 seasons of Buffy.
The movie outfits were awesome. I always been curious about how they made one of my favourite movies as a child, and i find the actors were not inside the outfits!

They have Japanese dubbed Power Rangers, yes. Pretty funny if you ask me.
the guy in the bad guy suit is thinking do i really have to keep getting beat up? lol
there was no sentai footage in the movie.

WOw...this was a blast from the past so to speak...But if there is one thing I have left to ask it's...How did you get this footage?
not in the movie, no. but in the first season (and part of the second) so they were, according to austin st. john at in an interview at powermorphicon.

Its been leaked out online like, 3 years now by a guy who owns a copy of the tape. I'm just passing it along.
I would love to have such a cool helmet of the white ranger
8 years later, but they made an official one to buy.
Actually, Johnny Yung Bosch DID wear the suit in the movie. He did all his own stunts in the first movie. Don't know about the Turbo movie.
I love Sophia Crawford she's the best!
They all had doubles. the action scenes with the suits were all doubles. they did have the actors train for the un morphed scenes, but even those had doubles on occasion.
I didnt know the pink ranger had a stunt double :o Did the others had stunt doubles? I thought they all had martial arts training for this movie?
So that was Sophia Crawford? I remember seeing her in WMAC Masters. Now I see why she's so good.
I always wish to be an actor
do u have tommy and kimberly behind the scenes?? jus asking onli..
hehe kewl! thnx for sharing then :D
this pretty much is the whole thing. (assumingyou'vee seen the rest of the behind the scenes vids I have up)
DUDE how do you get all this stuff O__O
White Rangers thoughts at 3:26..
'Man i'm so badass, did y'all see that'
Is this the film?
My favorite one
I always wondered how they did the white ranger flipping scene
Karen Ashley said when she was doing the parachute scene she puked all over her outfit and Jason & David were taking pictures of it.
you should put the finished movie scene in after the rehersal footage :D
All these stunt people are Australians? If that's true, good work, mates!!! Same goes for those who done The Matrix series!!!
Why did Amy Jo leave? Was it part of the story or something else?
Thats her stunt double, she didnt leave
Who watching 2020
I think the only ones who did there own stunts were the Red black and white ranger.
yea cuz in japan the yellow ranger is a guy cuz yellow isnt a femine color in the usa its considered feminine but i guess the same goes 4 the stunt actor
Cute Power Rangers Girls Scenes.
ooh.pink stunt dubble lady high kicks lol
Not really. Their too cheap to bother with the expensive suits on the show. They didn't even use armor suits in the turbo movie. let alone the series.
You mean it wasn’t really the real actors?!?!?
Sometimes it was, other times it wasnt.
Sarcasm just doesn’t work in written text for some folks....
How can thy do that from higi voltage wiring like that
If I got beat up by her, I'd enjoy every minute of it!!!
I met sophia crawford, she is a very nice woman!
SOPHIA IS THE BEST!!!
Yeah, my bad, I saw the comment and assumed it was for one of my other videos, one with Thuy .

My childhood ruined lol
