Finding someone who is so ‘addictive’ and ‘powerful’ it makes alcohol, drugs etc pointless because you’re ’already high enough’ on the relationship. The song is literally about finding a love that exceeds any other kind of dependency. It’s a pretty on the nose metaphor, like, I don’t really know what to say it’s just very clearly a happy song about falling in love…
