I've been waiting months for this bass guitar to come in!
Mark released a hot pink version of this bass last year in 2022, and my wife bought it for me as a Father's Day gift (spoiled).
So when Mark announced the daphne blue version for April 2023, I knew I had to get my hands on one... because I'm actually spoiled af.
Anyways, it arrived today!
Enjoy the unboxing and a little sound test using my Ampeg DI box - which makes an incredible practice setup btw.

Damn thats awesome. I have Mark's signature where it had seymour duncan pickups in reverse. Its like a sea green slightly transparent which was kinda weird. The Jaguar looks awesome. Was wondering when he was gonna release these. Congrats fellow Blink fan

Aside from finish, do you notice any differences between this and the first run of the Hot Pink jaguar?
Not really! The setup was better on the daphne blue out of the box, but the strings were filthy. Swapped them out for slinky’s. Fretboard is lighter colored on the daphne blue. That’s about it

So.. did Mark Hoppus stop using a precision neck ?😮

It says Jaguar on the headstock. But it feels fat like a p-bass neck

The neck on this model is a Precision neck with a Jaguar decal.
That being said, Mark has switched the necks on a few (but not all) of his personal basses with Jazz Bass necks for an experiment.
I had no idea! Jazz necks are much skinnier. I can see why he might experiment.

What kind of strings came on it do you know ?
Pretty sure it came with Fender strings. They were filthy. My fingers were black after playing this bass for 5 minutes. So I put Ernie Ball strings on it right away
is he no longer using seymour duncan quarterpounder pickups?
No, these are fender pickups. Website lists them as Fender Player Alnico 5 Split-Coil Precision Bass (Reverse Position)
He uses the quarter pounds but I guess there where contract issues with fender. I put the Seymour Duncan in that baby as usual.
