Glad to see the integration go so smoothly for these superstars of Halloween. They all look happy and healthy. I hope to see many bat pups in the future! 🦇❤️🦇❤️🦇❤️🦇

How long should these bats live, and are they microchipped to tell them apart. Very vocal little animals 😊

24 bats is an amazing number! Hopefully there will be plenty more baby bats in the future! 😁Just out of curiosity, how many bats can the habitat suitably hold before it is at max capacity? 🤔

We have estimated around 50, we are hoping more Zoos will get on board and build facilities to hold them too!

@NorthumberlandZoo Brilliant! ☺️ Hopefully more zoos and wildlife parks will get on board and house the species too 🤞🏻😊 Is there anything we can do to encourage other zoos and wildlife parks to consider housing the species or is it beyond the public and solely down to the studbook holder? 🤔

Thank you for the video. I have a couple of questions if you have time...
    1. The bats although captive, do not appear aggressive. Are they naturally aggressive?
    2. How string is the membrane? On their wings?
    Thank you

Great questions - any non-captive animal not used to human contact will naturally be defensive if you can even get that close to them. These bats have learned that we won’t harm them and food pops out of us so they have had numerous positive experiences with them.
The membranes are surprisingly strong but if they do get punctured or damaged, they do heal up quickly as well! 🙏🏻
