    We always welcome Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher's time to give In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics.
    During this visit, Coach Pitcher discusses all the newest offensive draft picks from the recent NFL Draft, offensive tackle Amarius Mims, wide receiver Jermaine Burton, tight ends Erick All and Tanner McLachlan, and center Matt Lee.
    Coach Pitcher also discusses the draft surprises in the number of quarterbacks taken early and the run on offensive players over defensive players in Round One of the 2024 NFL Draft.

    I get his point, but Pitcher isn't quite right that all the coaches/team's job is to put a guy in a situation where he can succeed "and the rest is on him." No, coach, you still are the man responsible if that player doesn't succeed. You chose him, you set up the "situation" and if he fails it also falls on your head that either your "situation" is a failure or you failed to match player to situation. So it's on you as well.
