Can I let you in on a secret? The second recipe is my favourite! What's your all-time favourite potato dish? Thank you for watching!

I will try your suggestion of potato water on my garden this year. We'll see....

You can do it with banana peels, too! Only, you need to soak your peels in water for a couple of days, which can get a bit smelly.

@@VintageKitchenVixen icky smells do not scare me. There is an older cat resides here. He does whatever he wants.

Thank you! The pudding turned out a lot nicer than I expected. If I made it again, I’d probably go without the almonds.

@@VintageKitchenVixen You know, the term "pudding" as Mrs Beeton used it, referred to a *sweet dish* at the end of a meal, what we in North America refer to as 'dessert'. "Pudding" in North American parlance usually refers to that custard-y, flan-like substance. (And I'd consider adding a Single Drop of Almond extract instead of the almond meal; Not sure if Mrs Beeton was going for texture or flavor...)

I was given 45.8 lb of potatoes this week…we’ll be eating a lot of potatoes.

Yes, watched to the end... Favorite potato dish? Oh, my... Hard to narrow down! So I'll go with Mashed Potatoes. Preferably with gravy, but they can be used for so many other things -- from shepherd's pie topping, to being piped from a pastry bag into swirls and broiled for a minute or 2 as a side for any entree , to potato pancakes, to topping and/or refilling a baked potato... There's no such thing as making too much mashed potatoes.

Great choice! Yes, they’re so versatile. I love frying up the leftovers for breakfast and serving them with runny eggs.

Nooooo!! Why didn't you 'rinse' out the blender jar with your milk in the 1st recipe, or at least scrape it out with a spatula!? You left a lot of potato-ey goodness in there! TV chefs do that and it seems so wasteful to me!
But in the second recipe, I can relate! I finally had to literally follow my Mom around when she made the old family favorites that had No Known measurements, to write down the approximate measurements. Like you, I already can pretty much make most of them by "second mature", but I wanted to have them Written Down, not just for me, but for our whole large family, (I have 40 First Cousins!) So, kudos to you for Capturing that kind of family food history!
Third recipe: You remind me that it has been quite a while since I've made it, and it Is a favorite! And I am So appreciative that you didn't cover it with cheese before you baked it, so unnecessary!

Oh, trust me, I did scrape it! I just didn’t do it on camera, but maybe I should have. Why have I never thought of blending it with milk before to get every last drop? It’s challenging to get everything in my blender, so thank you for the tip!
