My daughter is in hospital right now.. we are from Greece. She is 6 years old and she had her second heart surgery last week. Now she is in the icu and tries to recover! Day by day she is getting better.. I play this song every night, its the only song that calms her and help her fall asleep because she needs it. I wish to all the people around the world happiness and a healthy life!
Hope she recovers soon.
Wish her the very best of health and a very fulfilling life.

So sorry for your loss
Almost 7yrs ago, the final days before my Mom passed, I'd lay with her playing this on my phone. Her body was shutting down, so I would caress her hair as I silently cried. I LOVE YOU, MY PRETTY LADY ❤
Oh my heart! What a beautiful way of showing your love to her.
@tammisosa I am so sorry for your great loss. I remember my Mother singing and humming this to ma as a child. I then hummed it to my daughter as i patted her for to sleep. I now do the same for my beautiful grandchildren. They always ask me to ‘give them a hum and pat’ as they go to bed. Such a blessing. May the many wonderful memories of your Mother help to fill the void her absence has left.

I was a nanny for over 6 years in Asia then I moved here in the US. This lullaby song helped me so much when I was trying to put the kids to sleep so I can do my work.. it really calms them down and relax. NOW, that I have my own family I used the same techniques to my kids most especially when bed time. Even when I was still pregnant I used to listen to it and now my eldest is over 2 and half years old. Last month I gave birth to our second son via emergency C section, he was only 32 weeks and 4 days. When I was alone at the recovery room in the hospital I played this song and made me cry.. apparently it didn’t sink in right away what happened that day. Now, my baby and I are home safe and sound. Still recovering well and my baby is growing healthy. Thanks for song big time.
God bless you all ❤.

I first learned to sing this lullaby in 1948 as a boy soprano when I was 12 years old. I had four younger brothers and sisters and I had the privilege of singing them to sleep with this relaxing and dreamy melody. It never failed. In later life as a very limited baritone I had to be content with humming the lyrics but even this worked. It just seemed to take longer. And with my grandchildren? Advances in technology (as per McClung Music) made me redundant but never could I equal the quality and purity of the delicate playing in this rendition. Johannes Brahms, I am sure, would be pleased. I just had a vision of the Guardian Angels in Heaven after a busy day on Earth protecting their charges asking Brahms to play Wiegenlied, so that the angels on the night shift could have an easier time.
that's a pretty history, thanks for sharing :)

I Sing Lullabies To My Cousin Rose To Make Her Sleep
This song was on my son's mobile when he was a baby (1981), and I've always loved it. I played it for my elderly dad the night before his surgery, to help him relax. He never woke up from surgery, so this was my last memory with him. I woke up with this song in my head, and I think he visited me in my sleep.

" Distant memories..." -- My beautiful caring wife Fiona and I use to play this short composition, while our wonderful son Boris sleep soundly at night from the age of 6 to 12 months or so -- after consuming warm milk or crying due to un-pleasant experience from teething -- those were magical moments for me and now are " Distant Memories".
" Brahms Lullaby "
Lullaby, and good night, in the skies stars are bright
May the moon, silvery beams, bring you with dreams
Close you eyes, now and rest, may these hours be blessed
Till the sky's bright with dawn, when you wake with a yawn
Lullaby, and good night, you are mother's delight
I'll protect you from harm, and you'll wake in my arms
Sleepyhead, close your eyes, for I'm right beside you
Guardian angels are near, so sleep without fear
Lullaby, and good night, with roses be-dight
Lilies o'er head, lay thee down in thy bed
Lullaby, and good night, you are mother's delight
I'll protect you from harm, and you'll wake in my arms
Lullaby, and sleep tight, my darling sleeping
On sheets white as cream, with the head full of dreams
Sleepyhead, close your eyes, I'm right beside you
Lay thee down now and rest, may you slumber the best
Go to sleep, little one, think of puppies and kittens.
Go to sleep, little one, think of butterflies in spring.
Go to sleep, little one, think of sunny bright mornings.
Hush, darling one, sleep through the night
Sleep through the night
Sleep through the night.

the whole night or else i cant sleep
i'll always turn it on again after 2 mins❤
My girls nearly 4, and I used to hum it to her too when she was a newborn. Now she asks for me to put it on for her. It's so precious isnt it
@@maisieandlisa6403I can relate to this sometimes but maybe I am so stupid I just watch other stuff😅
My two year old daughter gives me such a hard time when is time to go to sleep. I've tried so many lullabies and this is the only one that she likes. Once I put it on for her it takes less than 15 min to fall asleep. So now it has turned into her regular night routine. She always wants to hear her "pretty baby song" as she likes to call it.So Thank You for taking the time to do this.
Thank you!

I seriously think that if we're overly tired it's very possible to not fall asleep or struggle falling asleep and staying asleep for this simple matter speaking from first hand personal experiences!!
My 8 month old baby is addicted to this. I use this to put him to sleep in 5 mins. Every time I play this, it’s sleep signal for him. Super soothing and calming :)
I played this to all three of my babies. Tonight they’re all out partying. 😕 I will look forward to playing this to my grand babies. ❤️
whats it like being old /srs
Nice, Ur babies must be great! Hopefully u will get to hold your GREAT GRAND CHILDREN!
I can never sleep form other lullabies I love this one
The first part of the music my grandma had it recorded on a tape to put on the little radio so it could help me sleep when I was a child in the 90s. And now that she’s past away a few years back I’ve been looking for that tape and I had no luck finding it until I finally found this. This reminds me so much of the memories I had with her. Rest In Peace.
Charles Forbes i know how u feel 😢😢😥😥
Sorry about that
Does anyone know the name of this song
@@juliaharder6768 brahm's lullaby :)
Yeah this almost made me cry so glad i did not cry😢😢
The lullaby was sung every night 🌙 to me , and Herbert by Oma and Opa, as we drifted off to sleep. The words in German was called Gute Abend Gute Nacht ... even at that young age I realised that my parents couldn't sing a lick !!! Lol 😆 totally out of tune and croaky voices, but still comforting 😅
I listen to this every night, I know I shouldn't, but my mom sang me this until I fell asleep, it's so calming to me
Hey no need to think u can't!! Me too anyways! Ya know what they say, " ur never too old or too young to do ANYTHING! " Now, REMEMBER this. :):):)
Aww, yeah, but I'm to old for the McDonalds playground now 😡 How could they put an age limit on that, Ive always wanted to go back but I can cause the age limit is 12
@@ryliemartinez3517 well, can't argue with that!! Let's chat some more and start listening to this!! *Oh no I'm so sleepy listening to this, that I'm already almost asleep!* aaaaaa:)

why shouldnt???
when i was younger i had a little carebears radio in my room that only had lullaby dics, my mom got it for me because i was having trouble sleeping. i don’t remember the songs it played but i remember setting up my little radio and making sure all my stuffed animals were tucked in and in their proper place before climbing into bed. that’s the feeling these kinds of videos invoke, it takes me back to my childhood, back to my carebear radio and plethora of winnie the pooh stuffies. it’s a nice feeling, a softer sort of nostalgia
Wow daisy your so lucky cause I don’t have any carebear rideoez
Always loved this as a child. Been playing it for my son since I was about 6 weeks pregnant and he still loves it at 3.5 years old
Yes! From the day I found out to now at 6 years old still his favorite and still calms him instantly! Only this specific version will do though
Every time I put this on it puts me to sleep. Also every time I here this I start crying. its so relaxing but make me so sad. I will play this when I have children . I hope to bring good memories to them when I have them. Listening hear in 2024. have a good year.
You too ❤️🙂
This tune is in my DNA As a baby .Now 61 yo. Always will be a part of me THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
Some of the old classical composers from way back when, certainly knew something about how the human brain worked. Their compositions, melody lines and structure/phrasing of the notes in each song resonate with some deep, inner-frequency inside of us.

because when there's family over on Thanksgiving and your baby needs a nap, you put this on to block out the noise from your rowdy family. worked like a charm.

This helped my little baby sister sleep 🤗 I never saw how happy my mom and dad was when she slept for full 5 hours🥺
I feel that one. 5 hours is a great amount of sleep with a newborn/baby❤❤

My 4 month old has been having some rough nights for a week or so. I put this on tonight and within 5 minutes he's out cold. Amazing, I'm sure this will be a favourite of mine from now on x

My 6-month-old granddaughter fights sleep but whenever I play this it helps her to settle down at nap time.🌸😴
Did you know, this also helps kittens and cats with anxiety to clam down too? I play it for our rescues and scared fur babies. 💕
And our puppies!
Same here
and my dearest dogs💖💖💖
Literally tho I love how this helping people but everyone else is talking about how it’s helping they’re babies and I’m sitting here as a teenager with anxiety who is like: um but it doesn’t just help infants fall asleep? Like they’re so precious every single one of those stories but what about the ones that aren’t told as frequently? Homework is so stressful and so is managing healthily friendships, it just gets so overwhelming. This helps calm me down and I know for a fact that those animals really appreciate it and they are probably so much more calm than without this
