*I love it **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I’m using it for my 1.0 Crankbaits and small Jerkbait. Paired with my Assassin. Works great, feels great. Would definitely recommend this setup.*

This is the best reel on the market for the price. You can’t beat this reel I’ve had mine for about 2 years and it’s still as good as new. It bombs casts and the drag is very smooth. I absolutely love mine probably more than my Diawa Lexa HD.

I agree for the money you can’t get a better swim bait reel! That’s probably the reason I have 7 of them now.

Hi I have never used a bait caster type reel in my life (im 62) but want to try the piscifun alijos 300 reel for surf fishing...... I use a 4 meter long rod and sling a minimum of a 4oz sinker, 50kg braid with 2 hooks and large baits...... is this reel capable of handling this type of setup. Am I wasting my time and money even trying something like this...... you advise would be most helpful....... Cheers

Hi, thanks for your question! Yes the Alijoz is capable of throwing your rig, I throw an 8oz mother swimbait all the time and it never has a problem I also throw an Alabama rig that has 5 half ounce heads and 5 5” inch swimbaits on it weighing close to 9oz and it has never been a problem

I love my Alijos reel I’m thinking about getting another one. I got the regular handle on mine. I’ve seen a few guys complain about the power handle not being counter balanced and causing the reel to engage in cast. Thanks for the video. Good one.

If you are casting with the your right hand with a left hand reel or casting with your left hand with right hand reel it will not happen. Many use right hand reels and cast them with their right hand too. Like in this video. With any reel with a Power Handle this can occur if casting with the reel side hand.

slips normally happen when there's tension - you need to hook something to test to see if it slips

His slips from casting and it engaging stopping mid cast likely hurting gears that’s what’s I’d guess

  • @chepachii

Maybe the slip is being caused by ghost drag?

@@dbbfishing2528 I don't own one of these DBB.
I just suggested that the people who say theirs slip may have ghost drag.
It'comes from using braid and the line isn't attached directly to the spool properly and the spool actually spins but the line stays still.
The old fix of using mono backing or insulation tape solves the problem.
      Cheers.

  • @RyanSmith-fb8rf

The reason the other reel was slipping was probably user error either not spooling it correctly or he didn’t have the drag locked down. The brass gears and pinion on those reels are rock solid. If you make something idiot proof they will just create bigger idiots. I hate when people bad mouth a good company and leave poor reviews when it has nothing to do with the product and all about the user.
