Hi Nikki, am loving your tutorials, I have used your Campervan ITH to help me when making my first one and it was a huge help. Now I would like to ask you what size needle you use when stitching through the vinyl.I am not sure where to buy this locally in NZ but will make enquiries, also can you tell me what weight of stabilizer you use, my first attempt with the ITH had the needle punch through it causing a thread jam even though it was what I call a medium weight stabilizer. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hi there! I use a 75/11 embroidery needle for everything, though I probably should use a 14. I use medium weight stabilizer for everything. I'm glad the camper video helped you! Feel free to ask questions anytime!

I have a Brother Persona PRS100. Can I do the key fobs on my machine? I downloaded a design - it did not have a 'placement' stitch. When I placed the vinyl on top of my tearaway, my machine jamed. Maybe I'm using the wrong thread and needle? Any suggestions?
Any embroidery machine with a USB port can make these designs. As for your specific problem, I don't have enough information to be of help. There are too many variables. I use embroidery thread like for any other project, so that's not the issue.

It's an upholstery weight vinyl. You can get it at Mikri World Supplies or MyPunkbroidery.

Hi! I try to remember to switch to a size 14 embroidery needle, but I usually forget and use the size 11 that's already in the machine!

I think I figured it out. My stabilizer wasn't stiff enough. I made three after my comment without any issues. Thank you!!
