What I’ve learned from this interview is: Apollo does not accept responsibility for his actions, he maintains unhealthy patterns, does not have self control or know how to regulate his emotions. Lastly I believe he should be single until he figures all of that out.

This was a much needed interview! We've never heard Apollo's background, or how he and Phaedra came together. He was very candid and transparent, even in parts of the story that wasn't flattering. Its clear he loves his sons, and still cares for his ex wife. The pressure of reality tv, was definitely the catalyst for the demise of he and Phaedra's marriage. Thanks for allowing him the space to tell his story. Sidenote: He's still fine as hell! Good job Carlos👑

Great interview! One thing I learned about Apollo. If he isn’t feeling emotionally fulfilled in a relationship he will get emotional support from another woman. According to Apollo he’s been inappropriately texting women during his marriage to Sharene. Kenya was probably telling the truth when she said “tell your husband to stop texting me” insinuating he was inappropriately texting her too. So he lied on that lady for no reason. Almost 20 years later and he’s still exhibiting the same philandering behavior smh.
He said in this interview that Phaedra threw a high heel shoe at him because of a text he sent Kenya about an interview that she had done, while they (he and Phaedra) were in the bedroom together. He rambled on about it, but, he finally got to the point and said he told Kenya she did a good job (like she wasn't already media trained) and he like her dress. I believe he was texting her more than he just admitted to.

Put their freedom in jeopardy- why did they open their mouth and put it out there that he has personal property stored at their home - what I heard him basically say is they voluntarily told “the world” by the way Apollo had his personal property stored in our house in case anyone is interested. Phaedra apparently didn’t know so for all anyone knew his things could have been in storage - when they announced it for drama on TV then and only then his stuff was seized. They could have called a family member or told him to make arrangements to get it - remember he said Todd was in contact with him when he initially went to jail. Nobody asked them anything-they voluntarily offered this info - is my take on it. Then never told him details on how all it transpired, even as a courtesy. Good interview! I think Apollo should get a show on HGTV to show case his home remodeling talent. He should be single, date who he want, raise his boys and work on himself while taking accountability for his mistakes.
One thing I can say since Apollo been back on the scene is that he doesn’t disrespect Phaedra and he doesn’t allow anyone else to do so, that’s respect. Phaedra and Apollo married each other for an image, but once he got caught up with legal trouble again, neither one of them wanted anything to do with one another. Phaedra 100% knew Apollo was still in the streets, but she turned a blind eye. Phaedra was not an active participant, she was too busy trying to secure every bag because she knew he was going to end up back in jail.

If you willingly break the law and get arrested, you have to deal with the fact that you did something to get taken away from your children. The mother is not obligated to bring them to see you and expose your children to prison life. If she chooses not to, YOU have to put in whatever work to regain your children's trust.

Kenya was probably telling the truth when she said “tell your husband to stop texting me” insinuating he was inappropriately texting her too. So he lied on that lady for no reason. He said in this interview that Phaedra threw a high heel shoe at him because of a text he sent Kenya about an interview that she had done, while they (he and Phaedra) were in the bedroom together. He rambled on about it, but, he finally got to the point and said he told Kenya she did a good job (like she wasn't already media trained) and he like her dress. I believe he was texting her more than he just admitted to.

Nobody asked them anything-they voluntarily offered this info - is my take on it. Then never told him details on how all it transpired, even as a courtesy. He finds out by watching Bravo, we can be sure this was Kandi’s idea. They were wrong..

This interview definitely rectified a lot of the fact that Phaedra was more innocent in this marriage. Many people tried to say Phaedra was trying to set Apollo up. At one point Kandi was trying to insinuate that too during the seasons.

One thing I can say since Apollo been back on the scene is that he doesn’t disrespect Phaedra and he doesn’t allow anyone else to do so, that’s respect. Phaedra and Apollo married each other for an image, but once he got caught up with legal trouble again, neither one of them wanted anything to do with one another. Phaedra 100% knew Apollo was still in the streets, but she turned a blind eye. Phaedra was not an active participant, she was too busy trying to secure every bag because she knew he was going to end up back in jail.
