Eric I have been watching you and your adventures for years. I often find myself just going from video to video. Never a dull moment or anything. I wish I could come over to Japan and share a meal with you. That right there would definitely be a bucket list for me. Keep doing what your doing! Such an honor to enjoy your content.

The food looked delicious and fresh. I am a big fan of the fresh water eel. Like many others, I recall being skeptical at first trying it. It was EEL after all. Bleh! I quickly became a fan. Soft and tender inside, grilled exterior, no fishy taste at all, with a rich steak-like experience. Wow! I also love sashimi, and your selections made my mouth water. Thanks for sharing.
The lovely elderly server with the laughing Buddha was awesome! The buddha is an incredible figure, definitely worth looking into if you're not familiar with his folklore.

Hey Eric yeah us Aussies do eat prawns (shrimp) on the barbie and other seafood and it’s amazing when done right. The meal looked absolutely delicious and the lady was so adorable, bless her. She definitely loved showing you things that’s for sure. One thing I love about Japan and the people is they are so friendly, welcoming and so kind

I loved that old lady. She had spunk! The menu looks aesthetically pleasing. That warm, soft ink on paper. Simple, and also completely foreign to me. Can't read a single word in it, but I loved when you flipped through it. Less convenient for sure, especially to foreigners, but there's something about seeing it that still got to me all the same. Good video!

I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. My state of Maine supplies the county of Japan with an abundance of freshwater baby eels also known as "elvers", or glass eels. Specially Licenced fisherman scoop the baby eels out of the river with a net and sell them to a vendor for close to 2,000 dollars a POUND ! The baby eels are then flown to Japan where they're raised to adulthood and sold to restaurants. I've always thought this connection between Japan and the state of Maine was a special one.
I really like the chill feeling of this video and it was amazing that she came out to tell you her family history. Hope you had a good Yoga class!

I heard a sushi chef is the symphony director and each course a tune? I like how sushi chefs can bring out the taste of plants and animals subtlety.

I love pickled ginger and practically lived off it during my pregnancy. I would eat rice with wasabi and pickled ginger when nothing else sounded good, lol. The eel looked fabulous too. Great restaurant choice! The older lady is amazing.

Get some! You'll enjoy it. Start with California rolls then work your way up 👍
If you haven't before, first try "cold smoked" salmon. It may help you acclimate to the softer textures found in raw fish preparations.
