Heard this song for the first time after my dog died and it’s now a song I play for him, used to cry every time I heard it but am past that now haha. This is a beautiful rendition of this song and dare I say better than their own. Thank you for giving me a lovely version of a song that’s dear to me 💚

Love the choice of song, love the harmonica (and the rack), but most of all I just love listening to one of the sweetest voices on the planet. An absolutely stunningly spellbindingly, beautiful performance.

A crack in the sky lends a light to the dark
The wind blows the ember a coal from the hearth
You carry it proudly through ditches and trees
And cross the horizon to lie down and sleep
Lie down and sleep, sleep well my darling
Blue is the eye watches over the sea
Lie down and sleep, sleep well my darling
Blue is the colour that looks after thee
Over the ocean toward a new world
The city the island a tear in the pearl
A boat on the water casts out a clear eye
The darkness beneath us is teeming with life
Handed the fire from the hearth on the hill
The coal and the ember they glow away still
Songs to the stranger familiar and clear
Ring out in chorus for all you hold dear
A flash in the dark shimmers silver and blue
Breaches the waves for a moment or two
Moves away slowly back into the deep
Blue is the eye watches over the sea

I guess I am not the first one telling you that you do sound quite a bit like Kate Rusty (minus the thick Yorkshire accent of course), but of course that's meant as a compliment.

Why are you not more well known? Obviously it isn't due to your voice and skills with the guitar and harmonica.
I use to play Jesus in The Passion in Moncton NB. I had a decent range but had more power. That was a long time ago. I'm 57 now. My daughter Naomi Clarke also performed in musicals and is a proficient guitarist. She has some stuff on YT. Look her up.I play too. More along the lines of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty et al. Wish I could play harmonica.
I was completely sold when I heard, " O Come O Come Emmanuel." I have a confession... I was a minister for 25 years! Don't tell anyone, it will ruin my reputation.
If you are ever down my way, Sydney, NS,
post it to your YT channel. Love to hear you play live. I'll get alot of people to come. I am persuasive.
    Again, am amazing talent!
    Cheers,
    Billy
