So basically, the reason Tommy gave for leaving was that he wanted to focus on his solo career and his band Majestica. Everyone on both sides is being extremely polite about the whole thing, so I think it’s safe to say that the split is amicable. As for the returning guitarist, Thobbe Englund is sort of an interesting character. He’s extremely skilled, no doubt, recording some of the band’s most iconic songs, but he’s also a bit weird in one particular way: he insists on using a bone stock Fender Stratocaster. Or at least he did. I haven’t heard anything out of him since 2016. At any rate, he insisted in the interviews I read that he liked the Stratocaster because it forced him to get it right every time. There’s no room to hide behind electronics or effects, or so he says.
Guys, i can't sub to you unless you play Tommy's videos all the way to the end.....his face on the last part was awesome and you stopped it !!.....EGADS !!....don't be in such a rush to finish this awesome man !!!
Tommy Joahnsson left Sabaton to focus more on his own band Majestica. There is several of their music also on RUclips. Tommy does everything himself with his covers and sometimes his brother-in-law is involved. Rednex is a Swedish Eurodance, folktronica and country group, originally consisting of Mary Joe, Bobby Sue, Ken Tacky, Billy Ray and Mup. The group achieved greater success in the 1990s with songs such as "Cotton Eye Joe", "Wish You Were Here" and "The Spirit of the Hawk". WHAT!!!! Your reactions to Tommy have never come up on my feed or in my searches and he is the majority of what I listen to on YT! I used to watch your Dimash reactions on (I think) your other channel, and I subscribed there...this is troubling, what else am I missing out on!! Oh well, problem fixed now and I'm subbed here also! ❤ edit: ok, went back and checked, not finding much else of Tommy's solo stuff on your channels, this MUST be remedied!!! He's so amazingly talented that it's hard to pick a favorite but I'll suggest "The Light" (Original), "Emerald" (Thin Lizzy), or "Over the Hills and Far Away" (Gary Moore)...Please more Tommy!!!❤
We've done a few Majestica reactions on stream. I believe there's only one dedicated video though. The others are lost to the void unfortunately. We'll check out some more though.
Apparently the original is called Cotton Eyed Joe by The Chieftains released 1981 and Rednex did a version of it called Cotton Eye Joe (over 230 million views on YT, so really popular).
To do it that way is probably not only fun but also liberating .. bet Tommy’s schedule has been insane with Sabaton , Majestica and other collabs to only have to secure yourselve as a resource for doing a recording has to be a relief 🔥

A Swede making a cover of a Swede band.
Tommy do everything in his videos on his own all instrument, recording and editing, exept for some videos when he co:op with friends
Great cover. I love it! But as for BM videos, Sabaton videos etc. never stop a Tommy vid before the end. Bad Dicodec. But great reaction anyway! 😄
