Hey, I have an Olds! It was my dad's when he was in school, so it's probably around 1968 as well. Still plays great and I guarantee the lacquer is original, for better or worse, lol. I can't believe that pocket trumpet sounded as good as it did. I also can't believe I got as excited as I did when this video was NOTHING BUT TRUMPETS YESSSSS.
The sound quality difference and timbre and tone are obvious if you've played trumpet or studied trumpet for a few years. Definitely some differences, I like the Wallace Roney horn the best for that piece, but the Schlossberg had a very unique sound
I didn't know you can actually play these trumpets! I remember seeing you play on a Bass Trumpet, but never on a few regular ones before. Nicely played.
It's likely the best trumpet for playing that solo. one of the rare ones is clearly designed for a jazz sound and the special handpicked one likely cost around that much back in the day.
I just started playing trumpet recently and I’ve been taking a lot of inspiration from miles Davis. And as I just found out, Wallace Roney and I have the same birthday!
I’m thinking about getting one of those pencil holders, but I don’t know where should I put it on my concert euphonium? Like the valve slides? Tuning slide? Or lead pipe?
I had no idea Miles had a protege till I watched this vid. Did some research and it turns out he’s an alum of the high school I currently go to which blew my mind 😂
Take a shot for every time Brass Witch is mentioned
You will actually die

I did this challenge I’m now drunk
Petition for a David Krauss all "Seahorse" recital
I would pay enormous amounts of money to see that

The Seahorse, though... it had such a profound and distinct tone to it, it just really resonates with me... best one by far.
I think i hear the difference. The sea horse is a little brighter, and warmer
Petrouchka on the Seahorse was gold
I think I preferred the brief moment of the olds recording! Josh Landress is the best!

Thank you!!!
I need a whole video of. The seahorse
I actually liked the $1500 one the best

No need for a brass witch when you make the switch to using a tablet with magnetic pencil; the right app can also help correct pitch.
Defo could her a difference
Holst!!!!!
Its not Schloschberg but SchloSSberg :( It also isnt Brasch instead of Brass, right?
