When we went for pinas vacay in 2017 my son got amoeba and was admitted for 48 hours. My poor baby. Water is the culprit. So take care of yourself Martin drink evian water only. Kudos to your amazing nurse Ave 🥰🥰🥰

Food poisoning happens all over the world including the western world, but in the west, there is more stricter regulations, permits, licensing with food handling, refrigeration, heating and how long food stays out, etc. When I visit the Philippines I ate fish balls in the villages sold by street vendors. The Locals told me to try it. I noticed a lot of double dipping in the sauces and the black smoke pollution from all the Jeepneys and mopeds blowing into the street foods in hot humid weather. I was thinking this cant be healthy, In the west this would be shut down immediately. I did not want to offend anyone, so I tried them. If you grew up in the Philippines your body have been immune to the bacteria's. But if your from the west, it is likely you will get food poisoning. About 3 hours later my tummy started gurgling and then my vision started to slowly spin, and then started spinning uncontrollable. Went to the hospital got on the IV, antibiotics and drank a lot of Gatorade and fluids due to LBM did a overnight stay and stayed in bed for about 3 days. So I lost 3 days of holiday and powered through the week. I have not been back since, but I love the Philippines so much, just remember if your from the West and want to enjoy your stay, just becareful of the street foods and water as they are not regulated. Maybe the government will regulate it someday? Other than that Best Vacation, People and Nature of a place in the world to visit! Vice versa, if your from the East and visit the west you will get colds, flu, virus infections and an STD hahaha
Too much food intake especially oily food can cause loose bowel movement. 2 tabs of loperamide 3x a day helps! Then stay hydrated by drinking gatarode or oresol/hydrite will do. It is important to know the basic first aid in case clinic or hospital is not near. It is best to bring all the time small medicine kit (especially when attending a party) like loperamide, antacids (Kremil-S), paracetamol/advil, motilium for dyspepsia...These are over the counter medicine. Feel better soon, Martin.

I've travelled the world, it can happen anywhere and to anyone.Rule no. 1 - drink bottled water or pop from original containers only, no ice.Rule 2 - Wash/disinfect hands before eating or upon coming home, especially after shaking so many hands and touching stuff in stores, hand rails, etc.Rule 3: Avoid street food, unless it is sizzling hot when purchased, and other stuff that may have been touched by unsanitized human hands.

Sad that Martin was poisoned due to water or food he took. Ave brought him to the hospital n took good care of him. Good he was well after 2 days.
