P. Nichols concludes that he wasn't shocked by the studies' results, rather how dramatic their range. "Several previous studies show that self-identified conservatives are less intelligent than self-identified moderates. We have never seen such a homogeneous group teetering so close to special needs levels."

I live in a school area. The parks near me are always full of kids playing while wearing masks. I never see any complaints from the kids.
The parents on the other hand... while most are good loving parents, there's a few murderers out there who refuse to let their kids mask up. Those parents aren't welcome anywhere near me. If there's other families at the parks, those parents are told to go elsewhere. Forcefully.

I'll never forget when Mr. Patrick said that Texas should sacrifice the lives of senior citizens for the sake of the economy. This is similar to when trump accurately claimed that the percentage increase in the covid outbreak in New Zealand was much higher than in the US - what he didn't mention was that there were less than 10 total cases in the entire country of NZ at the time. Going from 1 to 10 cases is a massive percentage increase and is a convenient number to quote to prove a losing point
How can we the biggest group when we’re a minority? Even if there was larger percentage of us unvaccinated. We’re only 3%, and that’s if you round up, of the entire state of Oregon where I live.
For every one black person who is unvaccinated in Texas, there are THREE unvaccinated white people. Patrick is either too stupid to understand, or is simply racist.

When in doubt, blame “the blacks,” it’s the American way.
If you hold office in Texas you should be familiar with the reasons why African Americans may be leerier of vaccines (see one example: Tuskegee Study). Even if you think 90% of African Americans didn't vote for you, you are still responsible for reaching out to the African American communities in an effort to promote vaccinations. They are still Texans.
Obviously, he doesn't give a fig about them. He also ignores the fact that the black population has been the MOST likely to decide to get vaccinated after initial hesitation. They said they wanted to wait and see. They did, and are getting vaccinated.

If a a state's officials come out like that, that state as of a morality and ethics stand point should have all federal funding forfeited until those persons are replaced and can prove they are not like their predecessors. those in need can be dealt with through Social Security.
