Regarding the fan shroud, many years ago I cut about 8 inch from the bottom, so it can be removed easier with everything in place. Other folks cut it horizontally in 2 pieces, so you can remove the top first, then bottom. Keeping it in one piece is a pain to take out... currently I don't have it at all, no issues with cooling. Nice watching your crd videos, God bless!
Thanks! took me a while to figure out what to do with the 13mm deep socket. (slip through hole in fan pully and jamb on the water pump) but that is a great tip. Also, fan clutch has been superseded by TEM 271312, fan is NEO 620602. Cost me $132 out the door for the fan and clutch at NAPA. Bolts and washers $6 at ACE August 2024.
Glad to see ya still at it. Didnt get the notification for this one again. High flow electric fans have always been s great upgrade for me personally. Idk how well that would work for a diesel tho.
Hey man! I was thinking about going high flow electric but decided to give this a go. So far so good, but it's been a cool summer. We'll see what the hot days and towing a trailer bring. I hope you have a great Wednesday.
lol. Hey Brooksy. What a week it's been with house work and more. I see you've been wrenching away and doing some holiday fun. Nice! I plan to check out that head gasket/timing job you've been working on.
Thank you for your video. A few days ago I turn on another Jeep Liberty and the fan air doesn’t sounds loudly as mine. Is there any fan that reduce the blow sound?
If you haven't upgraded your Jeep CRD with the GM Severe Duty Fan Clutch Napa 271625 along with the GM 11 Blade HD Cooling Fan NAPA 8552223, then you may want to consider this option for better cooling while towing, running the ac during high degree temps, etc. Don't forget the bolts (GM 11516869) bolts. You'll need 4 of them, or you can pick some up from your local hardware store. (Local hardware store bolts may not have long enough thread count, (might need 2 washers per bolt for proper fitment) be sure to get the hardened bolts. These 4 bolts should cost about $3.00 total (including washers). Don't buy them on eBay. Let me know if you have questions.
I did not cut or modify the fan shroud. It fit perfectly so I left it intact for best airflow.
Fan was so powerful it blew your light about!! 😂😂😂
@@Brooksyscarrestorations That's what I was hoping for, Brooksy. :)
@@2StallGarage your engine = 😎 got a hovercraft blower strapped to the bastard!! 😆 🤣 ... pretty beefy
@Brooksyscarrestorations 🤜🤛
Thanks for being here guys! -Justin

Im glad you got it back together. If it was in my hands, it would still be in pieces. 😂
I do it for my wife and children… and for a little bit of fun. 😉

@@GlassWerx I know the battle. I have to go 1 thing at a time often or I get stuck thinking about it all.
@@2StallGarageyeah understand that. I get to thinking how I gonna get it all done or what needs be done in each project n get off track on them all
Awesome video and thank you for sharing.
Thanks!

G'day my friend... says he won't make us watch it then puts it on fast play!! Hahaha... Peace ✌️. How you been mate??

What was the 13 mm socket used for when removing the fan?
Holding the fan pulley from moving. There’s hidden bolt. Your socket will go into it and prevent the pulley from spinning.

There should be no difference if you used the same part #s. Is the shroud the same on both or trimmed on one and not the other?
What is the part# of that fan, I have 6 crd libertys
Nice. 👍 Part numbers are listed in the description.
What is the fan part # also
Mechincal fan#

Can I use this on a gasoline jeep liberty? I have the 3.7 v6
I wish you could. I believe the mount is different. Glad to meet another Liberty owner.
