thank you for this! I just recently bought the same fabric and was hoping to do an almost identical dress! I just started learning to sew and did this without a pattern, and gave up for the day when I sewed the pockets on wrong. I'll definitely be watching this again before starting to work on it again!! It's a beautiful dress :) is your dress sheer at all? I got the cotton bubble gauze version of this fabric and I expect the pockets will stand out beneath the dress since it's relatively sheer. I'm thinking of doing the pockets with a fabric that will match the shorts I'll wear underneath instead of matching the dress...🤔

Best of luck on your make. The fabric is a little sheer on the linen I used, but you don't really see the pockets. However, making them out of your under shorts is an interesting idea. Let me know how it works out. Keep at it, even at this stage of my sewing journey, I'm still learning new ways to do things!
