    I love that idea of not being afraid of trying something that’s never been done! It’s scary to blaze a path but rewarding to look back and see where you are

    Cleco's are the best that's all we use in Aviation to build helicopters. DRAW clecos are my fave they have a threaded body and a wing nut to bring panels tight. 🍻 I might send you my Resume.

    I'd love to see you scan this thing, scale it down, 3d print it and go hunt down a mini wind tunnel. Stoked to see it in full carbon.

    In my younger days I worked for a company that had a dirt car late model,first race the car resembled a Camaro or Firebird after that the car became a wedged wing for aerodynamics And had an air tunnel down the Passenger side Of the car to direct air So basically it's a carry over from the winged Sprint cars 😁👌✌️🤙❤

    It would be cool to see this in a wind tunnel once you’re done. Next level work dude!

    Fantastic. So well explained. Active aero FTW

    In the world of off road racing I have been very curious why aerodynamics hasn’t been a more utilized tool to increase competitiveness. On top of that it’s very difficult to conquer aesthetically but you’ve nailed it.

    Absolutely amazing work! Off topic but where can I get one of those Shop Aprons? That is the nicest and most comfortable one I’ve ever seen! Thank you for taking the time to share!

    Clecos have been used on Aircraft fabrication over the decades , also interior fabrication of galleys and bathrooms........handy little suckers

    I would think that wing would also help a ton as an “air brake” like some of the exotic cars out there.

    the wing looks bad ass as it is...

  • @MidgetPunter
    @MidgetPunter 9 месяцев назад

    Are ypu at all worried about lets say on some if the longer jumps while the truck is mid air having too much downforce forcing the ass end down which could cause more air to go under the truck and pushing the nose upwards too fast almost causing the truck to basically take flight? Similar to a drag car with too much weight in the rear and the faster it goes and if the front starts coming up and window starts pushing the front up as all that weight and downforce is still increasing to push the weight of the ass end down onto the rear axle? I may be way over thinking it.

      What if the wing knows to adjust itself?

    • @marcuss8538
      @marcuss8538 9 месяцев назад

      I'd say probably put a gyro and a droop sensor on it so that the wing positions itself to level out the car when taking jumps or through the whoops to provide optimal handling

    • @brrandondarrrell
      @brrandondarrrell 9 месяцев назад

      @@marcuss8538you can do something like they do in Travis Pastrana rally car so there's a switch for it for when you jump and wing goes flat

    Morgan you are a very talented fabricator but your grasp of aerodynamics is pretty short. You are really building a spoiler not a wing. It will generate down force but at a very high drag cost, wings and spoilers develop down force in very different ways. Wings are very efficient at developing down force with minimum aero drag where as spoilers can develop large down force but at very high drag cost.

      Thanks Rex. I totally agree I’ve barely scraped the surface on aero stuff. Realistically, this is not me winging it or shooting off the hip. I am following distraction from people much more qualified than myself. I trust them & their guidance & understanding.
