    Craziest thing is. The play design would be difficult for most QBs throughout the NFL. The fact that Brock is anticipating 90% of these routes is a sign of extreme intelligence. Especially having so many pressures. Then you have to be honest with the fact that we don’t have any true All Star receivers (strictly graded off routes and space creation). Then take in the fact dude had nerve damage. Which is extremely difficult to recover from. I’ve had spinal stenosis and Brock is def unappreciated throughout the NFL including fan base.

    • @Wizez
      @Wizez  29 дней назад +9

      I’m shocked how many still compare him to backup QBs and Jimmy G. He’s obviously one of the top QBs in the league , but because he was a late pick people keep their narratives about someone. I have watched every play multiple times for SF this year and he’s answered all my questions to a large part. For instance he used to spin out of pocket a ton as a rookie, but now he does a much better climbing up into pocket. Which is just a refinement of qb play. He cares, smart, and has athleticism to be successful. Plus he seems to have that Brady chip and drive.

      @@Wizez I think it’s more so the fact everyone wants to see a Michael Vick build QB. Brock’s ability to extend the play after a pocket collapse and his ability to use his incognito ability really is the perfect world. He can avoid being cracked and give the receivers time to make something of nothing.

      It's just narrative. How many overpaid running qb are in the league? If more Brock Purdy types get drafted run traditional pocket offenses. Players, agents going to lose control of the market.

    • @wiredtardis

      The media can't let Purdy affect the bloated draft media "experts" that led to hype around QBs like Zach Wilson, Johnny Manziel, and JaMarcus Russell. These pundits have been on the chopping block over the last few years and they're clinging onto anything to keep themselves looking like an "expert" on football.

  • @wiredtardis
    @wiredtardis 15 дней назад

    For me, my main concerns for Purdy were answered last year.
    1) Can Purdy throw deep? His 45 air yard throw to Aiyuk early last season against the Cardinals proved that he can. I never questioned him since.
    2) Can he actually develop under Kyle Shanahan unlike so many QBs that came before him? Yes. In spite of Kyle Shanahan still finding innovative ways to lose and coming off a serious injury, Purdy managed to find wins and big plays to counter Kyle's deficiencies as a HC and playcaller.
    Now my main concern is how will he improve this year. If he can get more control of the offense so that Kyle doesn't blow it for everyone again, then Purdy could very well begin another Niners dynasty.

      I remember watching the same thing. He looked good even in his preseason performances. Now he is entering his 3rd year with a full offseaon. So he should just continue his upward trajectory. And I know everyone is trying to say Brock cant do x, but he will make you look dumb that way. Last year it was Brock can't throw deep, but then it became a vital part of the offenses success, while also setting a franchise passing yards record.
      Purdy is clearly a top 5 qb based on his production since he's arrived. Hopefully this year he will prove his doubters wrong.
      Thanks for positivity.
