On my TF, the vertical piece is fixed and the top is hinged to get the side curtains out.
    Great job 👍

in the real world what will happen is that because the box is actually too small to hold the side curtains without a major fuss, although if properly stored in the right order and orientation they will fit, people will be forced to leave that piano-hinged lid partially open (up) when the sidecurtains are in it.
the remedy, IMO, would be to design the box deeper and wider so as to accommodate the curtains.
    nice work though! :)

You do such a neat job, you car is going to be better than when it came out of the Abingdon Works in 1952! There is quite a good article by Malcolm Green in the Dec '21 of the (UK) MG Owners Club Magazine on how MG marketed their cars between 1945-1960. Let me know if you want me to email you a copy.

Hi, I was just wondering at what point you intend to install the wiring loom in your TD?

Thank you very much for making such helpful videos I personally own a 1952 mgtd that I'm restoring is their anything, that I should keep in mind or think about when doing body work on it?

Find out the condition of the wood frame. The door posts and door frame are important parts. Getting the doors to shut securely is a challenge that is only made more difficult if the wood is not doing it's job. I thought the wood in my car was fine only to spend a couple months replacing various pieces.
      Good luck on your restoration!

This is like model railroads, I enjoy admiring, but they don’t make enough Ritalin for me to be able to do this.

I definitely understand that! There were times I couldn't even look in the direction of my shop.

Love the video. I have a 52 td that I'm currently restoring. What size are the floorboard bolts and washers? long story short I got screw over the last person that took it apart and he lost a lot of hardware.

When will you be doing a video on installing the TD seat covers for seats and back ????

I did the seats a while back. I had a corruption problem with the SD card and several recordings, including the seats, were lost.
