Sinnoh was definitely Ash’s peak team due to being a bit more balanced and bringing back his old Pokemon. His Kalos team is great too despite having 3 flying types.

I do think ash is a mediocre trainer, but tbh, he's more realistic as compared to red. Like think about it. The only thing red is obsessed with is power, power and power. His only goal is to be an invincible trainer. He's captured all the kanto Pokémon but all of them remain confined in PCs while he ever only uses his 'standard' team (pikachu, venusaur, charizard and all). Ash on the other hand is more of a realistic person. He doesn't release his strong Pokémon intentionally. He releases them because they want to be released for some greater good. He isn't selfish. Plus, sure he never wins the elite four which is a frustrating blunder on part of the writers as people won't stop watching Pokémon just because Ash wins a league. But still, he has gym badges of every region which is respectable. Add to that, how many times has he saved the world from destruction, even with his weak unevolved Pokémon? Ash isn't a good trainer, but because he's a good human, I think he's better than Red who is just obsessed with power.

Why I love Kalos : Every Pokemon Ash caught he fully evolved it. He had stronger Pokemon for once. He did great in the finals. The anime was way more smoother. It was the 1st 3D and it was good. Ash wasn't that stupid. Things I think should improve there : Ash literally had 1 match and skips the rest until the final. He released his best Pokemon. He LITERALLY has 3 flying and not much variety with those. The flirting with Serena was way too much. He didn't have much of a variety of types and move pools. Overall Kalos is my favorite
Bruh everything is tru except Serena part of it, it is arguably one of the biggest reasons many fans came back to the anime. Serena and Ash interacting is what kept much of the Anime interesting during nonfight scenes and they both grew off each other. For example, Ash's first and last gym battle loss, both times Serena motivated his sorrow ass. So idk whattu mean.

Their mentality was and I qoute "having Ash win a pokemon tournament would mean his journey would be over, and by extension the Pokemon anime". Which obviously makes literally zero sense to anyone with common sense because it completely contradicts what Ash is trying to accomplish in his journey in the first place, which is to become a pokemon master. He can't be a fucking pokemon master if he never wins a single Pokemon Tournament. Him being a true pokemon master would imply he actually beats all the big tournaments he participates in but he doesn't. So basically GameFreak is completely fucking brain dead and illogical. What they're doing is essentially giving kids the image that "sure you can try your hardest to be the very best buddy but guess what that'll never happen because fuck you, you suck".

Why I love Kalos :
Every Pokemon Ash caught he fully evolved it.
He had stronger Pokemon for once.
He did great in the finals.
The anime was way more smoother.
It was the 1st 3D and it was good.
Ash wasn't that stupid.
Things I think should improve there :
Ash literally had 1 match and skips the rest until the final.
He released his best Pokemon.
He LITERALLY has 3 flying and not much variety with those.
The flirting with Serena was way too much.
He didn't have much of a variety of types and move pools.
Overall Kalos is my favorite

Bruh everything is tru except Serena part of it, it is arguably one of the biggest reasons many fans came back to the anime. Serena and Ash interacting is what kept much of the Anime interesting during nonfight scenes and they both grew off each other. For example, Ash's first and last gym battle loss, both times Serena motivated his sorrow ass. So idk whattu mean.

It’d be interesting to try a run through of the series using Ash’s selection of Pokémon, and see if you can do better.
Rules:
1) You may freely evolve anyone except Pikachu, who must always be on the team. (Hard Mode: Don’t evolve any further than Ash did) Evolutions with multiple forms (Glalie, Lycanroc) must match the original.
2) You add team members in the same order Ash got them, and only after getting the latest badge he had when Ash caught them. This also applies to Z-Crystals in Alola.
3) Released/Sent to Lab Pokémon must be removed from rotation.
4) CHOOSE ONE:
4-Hard) Use of the same team Ash had for a given badge/in the League is required. You may freely build your team from available in-Rotation Pokémon in between badges and for the E4 and Champion.
4-Easy) You may freely rotate Pokémon among your available pool for a region, without violating (1).
5) Held Items are allowed in games that allow them.
