Una coincidenza molto interessante da segnalare, il 7 maggio 1989, dieci prima di quella partita, ci fu una partita tra Flamengo e Botafogo, partita valida per il Campionato Carioca, quando il Flamengo stava vincendo per 3 a 1, il difensore di nome Gonçalves segnò un autogol, mancano 2 minuti alla fine della partita, il centrocampista Vitor ex Flamengo segna il gol del pareggio.

Keep in mind that teams were limited to three foreign players at that time. Napoli had three (Alemao, Careca, Maradona). Stuttgart had none.
