Matt, you have an outstanding way of presenting this information. Initially sketch up was so intimidating that I was overwhelmed and shut down. I can't thank you enough for making these videos that display the full potential of this extremely powerful program.... In a way that I can absorb it.
First of all ditto what Chris said..and could you have used the intersect function where the pieces meet at the top. If so, would you show how that would be done. Many thanks.
Hello and thank you for this presentation. Is there any way I can contact you about hiring you to sketch up a pyramid model that I've already built and have photos of, but would like a digital sketch of it and to know a few of the angle cuts I had issues with when building. Or can you refer me to someone I can pay to have this sketched up for me, as I was hired to build another of the same structure. Thanks in advanced.
i have been trying to figure out an easy way to make a 4 sided pyramid jewelry box for my daughter and while i know the formula for the angles this makes it so much easier
Nice presentation but I have a comment. You started with a 4 x 4 that was eight feet long. Then you extended the length to reach the apex. Could you show how to start your model with shorter posts then extend the bottoms to a longer length, such as eight feet. This I believe would be more representative of the actual construction, knowing the final length as eight feet .
Awful Interface. I can't even handle it. Its comparable to MS Paint from '95 mixed with The Sims, and using a mouse with a dirty trackball. Basically leaves me with a feeling reminiscent of finding a Mega Block mixed in with my Legos...in around '95.
It's obvious that you don't get it which is unfortunate... Kinda like someone who is used to a touch tone phone picking up a new smart phone for the first time and finding it complicated to make a simple phone call. Sad....

Exactly what I needed. Thanks!
Can you not dimension the angles with a call out?
