  • A mythical snake-like creature lives in the waters of Lake Seljordsvalnet in Norway. The monster measures some 20 meters in length, with a greenish tint and a raised back, and has been terrifying residents of the lake since the 18th century. Recently, an Oslo family sighted the serpent, known as Selma. It fascinates Swedish cryptozoologist Jan Sunberg, who has been using a giant trap to catch it.
'Boogeymen' takes an in-depth look at the history of local monsters and travels to the small, picturesque towns where they appeared to listen to both believers and skeptics as they investigate the most recent sightings.

Way too many people believe if something is impossible, it can't happen. That's not true at all.

I live nearby :) stunning place. its not just one, there are many.. I believe these creatures are the same species as in Lock Ness. Sightseeings occurs when they are spawning. Maybe there's a huge underwater cavern system connected to the sea. Horse like head...same description as Cannadas mogo pogo

It must be many if they are indeed living organisms in order to survive and procreate, there is a rule in nature but this wouldn't apply if the creatures are migrating inland from the sea.👍

I agree, there are lots of them, but I have to disagree with the species. There seems to be two basic descriptions of these sea creatures. One, is a a plesiousaur looking animal, like in Loch Ness. The other, is a "serpent" type of animal, like is talked about in this video. Neither of which SHOULD exist by the way, but they obviously do. I think Nessie is an actual Plesiousaur. Along with many of the lake monsters in America, like Champ. Entirely too many people(who don't know each other) have seen them, and photographed them. They've even washed up on shore, dead. Then, there are this type. I have no clue what they are. They're very strange to me. I wish I did. They can't be reptiles. They seem to do just fine in freezing temperatures. What mamal is 75 ft. long and 1 or 2 ft. wide? None.

Perhaps these creatures travel from lake to lake. We do not know FOR SURE there are no passages to the sea or other lakes..

However they're getting around, they're real. Too many people have seen them for them all to be lying or mistaken.

Also, remember there have been animals thought extinct but found alive and well, so....

Unless they are using underwater channels so they can move from location to location.

Doubt is a whale, they would spout frequently and THAT would be very noticeable.

If these sightings are of a living creature it must be a species of fish, invertebrate or amphibian, surely mammalian creatures are usually inquisitive and also air breathing and would have been discovered by now,

Have you seen the pics and videos from all around the world of these things? Because they're everywhere and they definitely aren't fish. Look I to it. There are some very, very strange things in our waters.
