Every week I feel like I'm asking myself at the start how is this topic going to be funny? Then Nate gets confused by Bacon Bits' harrowing vs heroin experience and I can't stop laughing. I'm so glad you guys are putting out something so silly and fun, I feel like it's the antidote to the rest of the internet.

Half-way through one of our golf rounds this summer a storm showed up on the horizon, getting a little too close for comfort. The geese were flying away from it, but the crows on the course stayed put. My buddy and I decided to side with the crows and keep going . Storm missed us entirely, and I hit my first hole-in-one that round (Goose Hummock, Edmonton AB, Hole 11 "The Chute"). My takeaway was that if you see a goose panicking about something weather-related, let a more relaxed animal chime in before you make any rash decisions.

Because of the movie Twister, I couldn't help but think that a tornado was going to come out of nowhere and rip apart the drive-in, even though there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. I just started watching you guys but I wanted to start from the beginning. I'm big on posting so I just set myself up for a heck of a lot of dumb frustration. This is a 3yr old episode and still I can't resist. You guys were talking about tornadoes and I grew up in Kansas, so tornadoes and constantly being ready for worse case scenarios was just my normal daily life. But my miracle tornado survival happened to me in MO. My cat escaped from the basement to go up to the top floor to run under my bed. My bed happened to be located directly in front of huge bay windows that took up half the wall and i suddenly developed superstreangth and s lifted the entire bed above my head to get her out but it was too late bc right then I heard the loudest sound ive ever heard. Louder than a freight train going 1000mph just ft away from me with my whole house literally shaking. Idk how or why just then that I became the luckiest person in my entire neighborhood. My neighborhood and surrounding areas were unrecognizable, just utter destruction everywhere. Amazingly nobody died but if 1 of the very few houses that were left completely in tact had not been mine then that number would have gone up 1 very pissed off girl and 1 cat in a heck of a lot of trouble one we got up to heaven.

In 2001 a F3 tornado hit my house when my family was inside. It moved our house 3 feet off the foundation. We were all completely fine, not even a scratch. It yanked the deck out of the ground and flipped it on to the roof. So we rebuilt because the foundation was still good, and 4 years later in 2005 it burned to the ground lol we moved off that Indian burial ground after that.

Love the show! I feel like Aaron is one of the people who didn’t make the cut for the role of A-A-Ron in the Key and Peele “urban substitute teacher” skit because he was giggling on set too much every time they did a take. His giggle is infectious. Despite that, every time it happens and he tries to get a word in while laughing Nate and Barney just hammer him before he finishes. Rightfully so. Nothing valuable has ever been said mid breath-taking laughter. Those comments are always the moral equivalent of Mitch Hedberg repeating “that tree is far away”.
If you’re doing an episode about weather you should do an episode about small talk. I hate talking about the weather with coworkers but I feel like it comes up at the beginning of every meeting as if it were noteworthy. I work at a hospital and the only noteworthy weather that has ever happened was there was a storm and a 4 foot alligator crawled out of the swamp during the storm and sauntered into the ER as if he should be the next patient. And just like the comedian with the theme of sports, THATS NOT ABOUT WEATHER. Needless to say the alligator was not pleased with the care received. He hit the frowney face on the survey as he was ushered out.
Also, since you will ask, yes AaronNathan1 through 61 were taken. There are either too many people with my name or a lot of pairs of men sharing an email account. I prefer to think the latter.
Seriously though it is a tough time to work in a hospital and you guys always bring a smile to my face. I guess that’s what Barney is supposed to do. Keep up the average work!

Absolutely lost it when Nate asked how loud it would be if an oven door was slammed.

Hi Nate, Aaron, and Battlestar Galactica- best podcast to date. Weather is your niche!! Aaron was barely holding it together at a few different points on this episode- he was the cricket chirp harbinger of a good episode FORMULA: *Aaron nearly losing + 60 = episode quality* This is my favorite podcast. I do hope you find a way to keep them going once life gets busy again. They are too good to not keep going.

    HELLO FOLKS!
Love the episode! Love the subtle nod to one of my favorite comedies ‘Spies Like Us’
I’ve got a theory: the more boring the topic, the better the episode! If this holds true, might I suggest some topics for future episodes: Saltine Crackers, Soup, & dental floss! Seriously, you guys are amazing! Keep it up!
    Blessings,
    Nate Breithaupt (Bright Hop)
I figured I’d help Nate out with the phonetic spelling! 😜

Having lived on the gulf coast for my entire life and having been through storms like Katrina, its scary.....I have always had a bigger fear of a tornado(tornados are spur of the moment, hurricanes are something you can track) they arent common where we are)......where I am in Alabama, it doesnt happen often, our biggest treat is hurricanes. Here recently we've had tornados where they arent common so now, alot are scared of both now.

This is a hall of fame podcast for sure. The last bit about Krakatoa had me crying laughing!

Aaron is clearly slightly stoned in this episode. Sore Sogorb is hilarious (his name) but Aaron is just a little too giggly in this episode. I think he got into ole' whistle noses's glaucoma medicine. Keep it up boys!

Super funny episode today! The sound of Aaron busting out laughing, it's the best sound ever! It's true Aaron doesn't get enough credit, when you were talking about taking the podcast out storm chasing he suggested you call it 'Tor-nate-rs' and no one noticed, so funny. When you guys get tired of talking about your subject, that's when it gets really funny like the Mirage bit.
I found one of Brian's performances on the Dry Bar Comedy app where can I find Aaron?
Thanks so much for the podcast you make Wednesday mornings working from home a lot more fun.

A little late and not a clutch performance, but one of those moments where Nate would probably run through a wall as well. I was active duty United States Navy security forces at the National Naval Medical Center in 2011. I was conducting my foot patrol through the hospital, this is the place where all of our wounded warriors come for treatment following any injuries overseas. All the TV's switched over to President Obama making the announcement that we had killed Bin Laden. It went from quiet to everyone.... soldiers, sailors, marines, nurses, and doctors in the ward clapping, high fiving, and chanting. Never felt comradery like that since, love the podcast listen every week. Respect

I'm a Florida native, and I'd much rather have a week's warning of a hurricane than go through the tornado scares that happen in the Nashville area (where my brother lives). I live far enough inland that we don't get the absolute worst of the storm, or the storm surge that the coast gets. It might damage your roof or car, but it's not going to flatten your home like a serious tornado. Even the tornadoes we get around here aren't nearly as bad as in many areas of the country.

Funny how Nate is talking about how weathermen get mad at the news anchors for not giving them enough attention, then the same thing happens a minute later between Brian and Nate. Brian is the bitter stepped-upon weather man with his tornado footage and Nate is the ungracious podcast anchor. JK I love both of you, and Aaron's ok too.

I DO NOT recommend listening to this podcast 4 hours out of an appendectomy. There is not enough pain medication in the world that could get me thru this. I was double over, howling with Aaron. That being said, we moved from East Nashville to Lebanon on March 3rd, day of the tornado. The tornado missed our house in East by 1 mile and our brand new house in Lebanon by 1 mile. Trying to maneuver a moving truck around the debris was UNBELIEVABLE. Loved Beatitude’s video too although it brought back some PTSD
