- It’s not too difficult to identify Timisa although she does look quite similar to Pisa, with both being smaller and younger than the other elephants in the herd. But to help you spot this sweet seven year old, we bring you a new identification video.
Orphan elephant now integrated into a herd, with Tokwe as her foster mother, Timisa still has very short tusks. She has small, high set ears. Her ear shape is similar to Bubi’s - from the front, her two ears form a heart shape. She has a wrinkly forehead. She has a round head, but her head will likely become more angular as she ages. She is bigger than Khanyisa, but a bit smaller than Pisa. She has uneven tail hair - one side has sparser hair than the other side.
Timisa is a jewel in the herd. She is so precious. I love her features as she looks straight at you. Her ears form a heart shape to tell us she is happy and very loved.
Beautiful!🐘💕
She’s a beauty!!
Beautiful eyes. That’s how I identify Timisa. She a sweetie and so good to Khanyisa. They are besties.
💕
Timisa hat wunderschöne Augen.
That she does 😍
This is interesting to see the physical differences between the elephants. I also really enjoy listening to the carers when they explain elephant behavior.
Thank you, it is always interesting finding new things about them and their species. 🐘💕
What a beauty Timisa is...those eyes and her sweet face, curious trunk and heart-shaped ears. Each elephant a work of art, really. A joy to watch even if they are just munching branches 😀
🥰🐘🌳💕
Timisa looks very healthy.
She is obviously thriving.
She is doing so well - THANK YOU 🥰🐘
Lovely, sweet Timi! She’s such a good sister and playmate for Baby K.❤️🐘
Timisa's sweet eyes, head shape, tiny tusks and deep wrinkles all melt my heart! They are all special, but she has a distinctively special appeal. A dear soul. 🐘🥰🥰🥰🥰
Timi is my favourite though I love them all. She is special.
Have you noticed that there’s two different body types ? The light gray is like more square and long And dark is more round and back slopes way down to shorter legs lighter colors have lg round eyes that hypnotize as they go b the walk b
S see
A true beauty to nature inside and out - agreed. 🐘💕
Timisa 🐘 has a beautiful face. Her eyes are so very soft. Being the second youngest of the HERD you would think she is small like Khaynisa 🐘 but the one shot of her standing next to one of her carers she is quite big. Thank you for our lesson on how to spot Timisa 🐘 when out in the bush. ❤️🐘❤️
SO beautiful! 🥰🐘🌳💕
Wow, Timisa is already 7!! She is such a lovely and nice one~💞
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗
She is so sweet! Love you little girl!!! Hello Adine and the carers from New York!! Love watching the HERD It is my daily routine to start off the day. Hope you are all doing well and have a wonderful Sunday!!! ☺️☺️
Yes that’s the first thing I do in the morning… ever since Miss Sunshine first came ❤️🐘❤️🐘🌿🌿🌿❤️
Hello to you too!! And have a lovely day 😍☺
I just adore Timi💞 She is my very favorite. What a very right-on description of her, Adine/Carers. I am always able to recognize her by her wrinkly forehead and her beautiful eyes and face and ears! But, especially her coy personality as she breaks off branches and struts proudly in front of the cameras. It's almost as if she's smiling. And not to mention her devotion to Khanyisa, our little Meisiekind. If I could jump through this computer screen right now, I'd give gorgeous Timisa many hugs and kisses. Thanks for this great video, HERD!
Too sweet! Thank you so much 😍❤
She has beautiful eyes.❤️
Yes, she and Bubi have beautiful eyes!!!!
Adorable jeep her safe
I enjoyed this. I'd love to see videos on the other herd members and perhaps personality, the way they interact with other elephants.
In a not so perfect world we live in today, I would have to say that Timisa is as perfect as one Elephant could be. She’s a bright shining star, especially when she’s been there as Khanyisa’s playmate & supporting Sister. Timisa & Khanyisa are so much fun to watch when they get in their playful moods. ❤
They are such happy simple beings, elephants in general. Khanyisa has really gotten bigger since she first arrived at the sanctuary. It's wonderful both how kindly they're treated and how joyfully elephants react to kindness. I am very sure now that the only reasons we hear about elephants attacking is because 1) either those elephants are badly treated such as circus elephants or 2) they're elephants in the wild who must remain in defense fighting mode from predatory animals (lions, hippos, crocodiles, hyenas, venomous snakes). But sanctuary elephants are so friendly and affectionate because they are surrounded by kindness and no danger, I've seen it in these HERD videos and I've seen it in the Thailand sanctuary videos
Your words move us 🥰❤ Thank you so much
She really is perfect 😍 Just love her to bits
Thank you for all of your wonderful, informative, funny, and entertaining videos! Khanyisa sure has an adorable sister and a loving and protective family! Take care🌷
All you have to do is look for the gentlest little one. 🥰

All of Toke’s girls are gorgeous 😊
Completely agree with you
Yes and the eye lashes are amazing on Timi
Lol there's no getting around that Timi and Kumbura could definitely model❤️🐘 Gorg
Agreed. She's very feminine in appearance, and quite a lovely temperament.

She has something special with her eyes: a look of nice eyemake-up eyeliner/ kölh darkness around her eyes...so beautifull❣👌😍
🐘Timisa looks very contented .
Timisa is my soft spot since the begining There is something about her that makes my heart melt and makes me happy each time I see her I love her heart shaped face and her sparkling eyes which enhance her genuine joie de vivre and I love watching the complicity and the cheerful games she shares with little miss Sunshine who is also a little phenomenon 💖🐘🐘
They are such joys to have around 😍
I just love Timisa🥰💕 She has a good heart. It's no wonder her ears form a heart.💗 Displays on the outside what she is on the inside, in my opinion ☺️💖💁 She is precious and beautiful! Love those big brown eyes too🥰💕😄
She has a beautiful and accepting heart
I think Timi has sweet, soft eyes with long eyelashes. 😍
Such a Precious little girl Timisa is 😍
The heart shaped ears say it all ❤ and a wonderful big sister 🤗🏴
Those sweet eyes... they're very expressiveand she stays close to little K that's how I recognize her
I read that comments and likes help channels. :-)
So here's love to HERD and the wonderful people here who write such lovely words about these beloved creatures. Paz y luz.
Thank you ! 🥰
Sweet Timisa is so beautiful and I can tell which one she is because she hangs with Khanyisa pretty much all the time.🥰❤️🐘🐘. You can definitely tell that she is quite young still because she is tall and only (I think) a little taller then Khanyisa is and that Khanyisa is getting up to be almost as tall as Timisa. But I do love Timisa’s face because she is definitely a pretty elephant and she is so sweet and gentle too. God bless sweet Timisa always and please keep an eye on your sister Khanyisa for your fans. Love always! Sue M.(Florida, USA)❤️🙏🏻🥰🐘😘🌼⭐️🌸❌⭕️
Thank you for your kind and beautiful words Susan!
Timisa reminds me of a sweet, well behaved, beautiful little girl. She is at such a cute age. She is well beyond baby hood and being a toddler. Though she is not a full grown elephant she looks like a miniature version of a full grown elephant. She is just adorable.
She is at a very cute and curious age!🥰🐘🌳
Aaaww she's such a sweetie-pie, I love her! She has the most darling face & neat personality 🥰😘🙏❤️🐘
I love these videos that try to help us identify everyone! Timisa is such a cutie and a great companion and sister to Khanyisa! Thank you! 💜💙💕
Timisa is such a beautiful young Ellie!! I really love her. There's just something about her that grabs your heart!! 🐘🐘🐘💞💖❤️
Awwww. Beautiful Timisa. Big appetite too 🥰🥰🥰🐘🥰🐘🥰🐘🥰🐘xx
Wrinkles are the sign of inner beauty, little miss Timisa.❤❤
Beautiful 🐘💕
Timisa is a sweet, gentle soul, isn't she? I do enjoy the channel. Snowing here in Canada .... be well.
💞✨Such a wonderful girl is our Timi. Thanks for the Timi, identifiers 💚🐘
Timisa has pretty eyes too. ❤️🇨🇦
Lovely Timisa🥰
TIMISA:... THANKS FOR THE YUMMY PELLETS GODKNOWS!!!😃😍💜💕🐘🐘🐘🙋👋🙏➕📖⛪✌👍
The way you have described sweet Timi and specially her ears is so lovely. Heart shaped ears!!
I adore all ellies❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Today, special kiss for Timi😘😘😘
She's so cute!
Beautiful Timisa!!!
Thank you for the identification lessons. when they are all together I still get mixed up. One thing I do remember always is the female heads are angular and the males are round; I watch for this first and it helps. Then I check the ear tears and the tails but often still I get it wrong; so clearly we just need more of these ID lessons. Thanks and God Bless All of You.
Slow and steady wins the race! You got this ❤ it can be difficult to identify the different elephants
You guys are so lucky to live with these precious pranksters!
🤪🐘💕
Beautiful 🐘❤️
Timi still has a little bit of baby face 😊❤️
Timisa is such a beautiful elephant! Such a sweet disposition too.
I love how Timisa eyes are so big and round, they are beautiful! ❤
they are stunning!!!!!
Her eyes look beautiful. Wide open. I wonder why others, including the little baby, have eyes that I'm not sure if they are even fully open.
Khanyisa's eyes are half-shut or mostly closed to protect her eyes...since she is an albino and albino's light-colored eyes are often sensitive to sunlight.
When it is cloudy or late evening with little sunlight, Khanyisa's eyes are almost fully open.
Timisa has very beautiful eyes ❤
Ok this is how you do it. Ask the Jabulani Herd "does anyone do modeling on the side here",?! Kumbura and Timisa raise they trunk and just pick the smallest between the two ~ Timisa ❤ (lol, Meisiekind can't play, she's too young...otherwise 🤔) Seriously I really love these I.D. Videos. Thank you 🙏🏻
That’s great! I adore Kumbura and have always said she looks like the perfect elephant. She’s very beautiful in my opinion. Slim and definitely female movements. So your test would work perfectly’
💕💕💕💕💕💕
Congratulations on your 100,000 subscribers. I remember when it was 10,000. Timisa always seems to know when she's being filmed.
Thank you so much! We could not have done it without you 😍🤩
I always recognize her by her beautiful eyes and her lovely deep wrinkles. ❤💕
Thank you for teaching us. She is so sweet❤
Cute Timisa
a charming girl and an individualist with a good character
She probably has all those forehead wrinkles from worrying about, while simultaneously being vexed by, Khanyisa. Where would they be without each other? 🤗🤗😘
They are inseparable😍
Nice Adine. Very informative. Timisa is a sweetheart. Like her baby sister Meisiekind.
She is very pretty girl 🐘💕. To me it is also interesting to see, how different they look. Thank you, for share ❤.
Such a pleasure! Thank you for watching and caring about the different elephants 🐘
@@herdelephantorphanage Thank you, i will 💗🐘.

Thank you for all you do. 💚💚💚💚.
Hi pretty girl . 💗💕
Timisa is my most favorite ones
💚
🕊🇺🇲💕
Hallo Timisa 🥰🥰🥰
Damn y’all my homegirl is going to be Huge!!! Awesome Sauce!!! Saginaw in the House!!!
I would love to know what the elephants are feeling and thinking. There is an animal communicator in South-Africa, Anna Breijtenbach. There are impressive videos on RUclips about her communicating with animals. Maybe you can invite her to communicate with the elephants?
Can you not make a colorful lightweight yarn possibly necklace for each one? Each one gets their own solid color so perhaps everyone can identify.
Unfortunately not ❤ they are still wild at heart and with the constant rubbing on trees and playing in the water and mud, chances are the yearn would not last long
Timi is adorable and precious.🥰
I know 🖐... Timissa is a little more big than Khanyisa ...very easy😁😅💕💞
I wonder how Timi and Kumbura were initially handled when they first arrived at HERD after rescue. Actually HERD didn’t exist so I assume they were housed at HESC. My question is was Adine as bonded to Timi and Kumbura she is with Khanyisa? Or fid the physical structure of the orphanage help to increase the bonding time with Adine /caters? I’m really trying to watch Timisia and Kumbura’s reactions to Adine now to determine if I can extrapolate into Khanyisa’s future and be aware of how she will respond to Adine/carers in a couple-3 years and on and on. What can you tell me HERD about their early days after rescue?
Adine has different bonds with each elephant with all of them being loved in their own unique way 🥰
Each orphans survival was different but each survival was a new learning path. Kumbura and Adine's kids were a lot smaller at the time and late Paul Coetsee was the elephant manager at that stage and he therefore had a stronger bond with Kumbura. Timi arrived at quite an older age and was integrated into the herd at a much faster pace than little Khanyisa which did not provide Adine with as much time with Timi as she did with Khanyisa ❤
For more on Kumbura's and Timisa's story, have a look at the below links:

@@herdelephantorphanage thanks so much? How old was Kumbura when rescued?
What did the carer give to her? Is she still getting pellets because she is still young?
"Well I was the baby until a couple months ago!"
She's the only one small enough to play with Khanyisa.
I wonder if Pisa did the same for her?
Thank you
Very pretty indeed 👌 😊 ❤️
That's little miss big stuff 🥰
How to identify her? She's the poor little elephant that Khanyisa always wants to steal the food from her mouth. This is Timisa then.
😆😁🥰
Just a baby..
