Or you hear your partner get rekt, they kill the attackers with pistol while you're en route, and when you come around the corner to rescue them they cheerily wave at you
Slightly off topic, but once in LFD2, I was with two other players who decided to kill me (Ellis) and the AI (Rochelle) at the very start of the round. So all I could really do was sit there and listen to Ellis go off on one of his Keith stories while slowly bleeding out. Then Rochelle was like "sweetie, is now REALLY the best time?" and Ellis responded "okay." and they both promptly died. The comedic timing was so on-point that I still think about it, years later. Left 4 Dead 2 is a good videogame.
