Loved it but it should of been 18 holes and prizemoney for the top 3. The PGA have enough money and should show more appreciation for the new younger fans youtube golf has brought to the game.

I wasn't surprised by your invite to the tourney Peter. Your content is great, but just as important is the fact you put yourself out there, coming over to the states and playing with lots of other content creators like Luke, the Bryan Bros, Grant, etc, etc, etc. I love watching your matches with these other creators, especially the 18 hole matches. As where Rick very much seems to just do his own thing nowadays and doesn't have many matches with other creators anymore.

I enjoyed the Creator Classic far more than the gimmicky Tour Championship, even if they didn't show you much at all early in the round...the putter was on fire, Pete! 🔥

Truth, Pete! I love your insight. I hope your input is considered for events like this in the future. I enjoyed every minute of the contest. Can’t wait to see many more. More players, 18 holes for sure.
You did very well by yourself in the tournament. I’m sure the jet lag was awful. Living very close to Atlanta, I understand the heat and humidity you faced so you did very well especially knowing the hills the course affords. I hope this type of thing continues maybe quarterly at different locations. A rising tide lifts all boats and everyone profits from these contests.
The PGA looked at your open qualification meltdown Infront of a big crowd they thought a second meltdown was on the cards.
What thay didnt know was the attitude adjustment that Mr Harrington bluntly gave you and now you are better golfer for it.
Spot on about the disrespect from the Touring Pros. Scoring at the top end shows, whilst there is obviously a gap, it's nowhere near the amount Hovland, Aberg & others claimed it would. Plus it was a damn sight more entertaining than the Tour Championship.
The Creator Classsic was fantasic. I think the trick is going to be finding a way to take advantage of what makes the content creators popular and different from traditional broadcasts. People aren't watching golf as much because it's boring, too many ads, no personality, etc. If you make this a traditional event, people will start to tune out, too. What does it look like? I don't know, but I love that YT golf is blowing up, and I hope the right balance/formula can be found!
It was the best golf event I’ve watched on RUclips , pro comms made a massive difference. Long may it continue

I enjoyed the Creator Classic and I hope it is a stepping stone. One of the reasons I watch RUclips golf more than LIV or the PGA is because of the video quality. Watching in 4K on a quality tv is so much better than even 1080P let alone broadcast’s in standard hi definition. On RUclips you get to see the course up close clearly and listen to the friendly banter by some interesting people.
I liked the format. Showed a lot of different levels of golf and answers the questions of "what would a normal player play at a championship venue?" Lots of great content.
I was glad to see you played well at this Pete. Good stuff. :)
I guessed there would be a huge volume of adverts, so I picked up the "live" when it was already a couple of hours in so I could skip past the ads (the → key to skip forward 5secs on YooToob was my best friend to get past all the Murican ads!)
p.s. personally, I don't watch PGA events. I have enjoyed all but one of this year's LIV events tho.
I watched the Creator Classic, and numerous individual creators content, don’t even know where to find the PGA Tour event other than the highlights. As for sponsorship, I had never heard of Blackstone before this, but they got multiple mentions on every piece of content I’ve watched and even here today you gave them several minutes, so they will have got their value for money imho.

Not a Parkland course, but I would love to see Pete play at Wolf Creek here in Nevada. Such awesome views, and such drastic uphill/downhill shots it would make a great video.
More screen time without doubt, as I watched the whole event and considering Pete was in contention, he was not on screen much. I understand it was an American programme, but it did seem slightly off.
Do you think something like this would benefit the DP World tour. Maybe on the Tuesday or Wednesday before, have RUclips team pro am, with event players pairing up with a youtuber, thoughts?❤

I think people like a good story, and knowing that YT golfers are not elite and us viewers having the ability to follow your progression, journey,, and struggles is why your fans want to see how you compare to other YT golfers in a competitive event. It's essentially a big reality show.

Surely Tuesday at The Masters has room for this? Drive pitch and putt, Creator Masters, Par 3, Tournament.
The PGA should make Monday Qualifying a live event on RUclips, and have the winner broadcast live on RUclips during the event.
Also, during the Monday Qualifier, have a few RUclipsrs play and let them broadcast live during the qualifier.
Sorry you had to play on a day where some peoples clubs were melting in the the golf bag, but it was a good round for you on a good golf course. Maybe next time you come to Atlanta you will be able to play some other courses in the area, there are some very good ones to look at. Can't wait to see some of the videos that this trip leads to, new connections and new places.
I thought the tournament was PERFECT! Yes perfect. Because it was new, innovative and fun. Could they make changes?...ofc. But for a 1st go, it was really fun. My hope is that they add a monetary prize to a charity of the winners choice. Peter you came off really well...always in the moment with a smile.

The tour should be broadcast on youtube period
I think one of the biggest hurdles to overcome is that people will watch an hour to 90mins of a course blog, but I'm not sure anyone would watch 6 hours of a full round... there is so much done in the edits (and that's where the great creators excel, Pete is amazing but the team who do the edits etc are huge, unsung heros. Pete includes them and we know them all, but lots of creators hide them away).
I watched it on Sky Sports so I wonder if those figures are counted as well. It was a great event and I was so happy to see you included
I think Wes being there was a masterstroke. He's a great player but not a top PGAT player, the whole appeal of the event was seeing very good golfers test themselves in tour conditions, having Wes gave another great benchmark for the audience as to how good RUclips golfers actually are.

I thought it was really good..Pete is honestly one of the better tournament style youtube golfers out there, but a lot of them are pretty open about not really enjoying tournament style golf. Hopefully this will turn into some type of creator tour or something like that where there will be a few of these every year.

My biggest criticism of the Creator Classic was being subjected to the slow play as a viewer. Seeing someone take 14 practice putt swings, then back off, check the line, then putt was brutal. That time could have been used to show tee shots, approaches, chips, whatever.
Creator Classic was generally all good. My Takeaways:
- Put a guy like Bobby Fairways in the booth. Commentary was way too PGA like!
- Where are all the foreign Creators? PGA Tour again ignoring the European, Asian, Australian and African market. A guy like Taco would've added so much to this event.

My comment is specific to Peter's aspirations for where this might go for YTG vis-a-vis PGA Tour.
So I love golf and love both formats. BUT Pete and other YTG leading figures should tread carefully and temper aspirations. Lacking formal/organizational structure, creators run the risk of having the whole scene--and what's so fantastic about it--being co-opted by the Tour.
From a sociological, organizational, and even business perspective, it'll be fascinating to see how this plays out. I worry a bit, though, merely as a golf content viewer.
I really enjoyed the Creator Classic. Coverage on Sky and format was excellent. The mix of players was really good including having Paige and Gaby playing. A few tweaks for next time with full leaderboards and covering all the players in a more consistent manner. Overall though really great and way better than watching the Fedex playoff.
Loved a golf event that involved people I am invested in. I would follow Wesley not because he is a PGA golfer but his relationships with George, Grant Bustagolf etc and developing his own golf course. Never watched a PGA tour event apart from the majors.
I agree, kinda feels like you know these people. More invested in this than any pga/liv event, seriously the majors and Ryder cup are about all that I’ve enjoyed watching more

Pete, really enjoyed the creators cup. You played well mate. I believe that UTube golf is mainly the only golf I watch anymore. Other than the majors, I believe the PGA Tour has just become too boring to watch. I would imagine that because all the talent has been split up in two different tours. Keep up the great work mate , we’re pulling for you !!!

Congrats on a great tournament. While I watched the entirety of the Creator's Classic, I only tuned in and out of the Tour Championship as it seemed to be a foregone conclusion.

When you hit your putt on the 8th hole, I was actually yelling at my screen for the ball to go in. I guess I was more invested than you LOL. But seriously, really well played, both in the Myrtle Beach qualifier and in the Creator Classic. Well done, Pete!
I watched the Y-Tube footage of the event, and the commentators went from very sceptical about Pete to realy fans! And they wanted Luke to miss the put on the 8. just that Pete got a chance for an Chipoff. I think the commentators didn't expect that Pete, and all the rest really can play. And if you think of it: -2 or even par over 8 holes! Thant is as good as a "normal" tour pro. I just think that 8 holes are not enough. It should have been 18. But it war really great to watch Pete playing that well.

I didnt mind all of the adverts in the live broadcast. Ive been watching youtube long enough to know that if im watching premium live content for free there are going to be many ads. I know one thing as a result. Blackstone is an outdoor griddle that i can buy. I guess the sponsorship worked.

The Creator Classic was pretty cool, even though she shot 3 over, Gabby Golf Girl was the crowd favorite.....
So I understand the YT community obviously prefers seeing (if any) ad placements within the video for 60-90 seconds and that's it. Outside of maybe 3 products I can't even tell you what they were but I will remember Blackstone grills. I know many sponsors are in near the ground floor of YT golf but at what point do they see if there is any spike in sales due to these partnerships? Ad money is more than immediate sales for sure, but there has to be some ROI over a period of time. Curious with the younger generation being cheap with purchases yet willing to spend their salaries on DoorDash how this will play out.
I agree on the Ryder Cup Type idea, but not a casual tournament. Barely made it through the 9 holes, probably only made because of the novelty of it.
Your group was definitely my favorite of the event. Glad Micah played well, but really disappointed by the amount of hate Mac is getting. He’s such a fun golfer to watch and seems like a genuinely good dude

The creator classic was amazing. So glad the PGA did this. I hope they continue doing it moving forward. Great round Pete. You absolutely didn’t make a hash of it. Next year you’ll make that top 4.
In the end I think the format worked very well for a first attempt. Nothing like this has been done before and even though it was a no brainer that a RUclips Golf & PGAT collaboration had to happen there were also a lot that could go wrong. First thing, although most of the creators are excellent golfers, the magnitude of the event and just playing in front of a crowd is a huge thing. If players crack under the pressure and shoot 90 over 18 holes then eveyone loses out. RUclips golf looks like a fad and channels may lose viewers. I know we follow these guys for the fun of their content regardless but still its a risk on a big platform like the PGA Tour.
Making it an 8 hole event mitigates a lot of thime risk of scores being all over the place and guys bombing out. Plus having a top four 9th hole playoff means even if Wes shoots -4 three other players will get the chance to challenge him for the win. Heck you could have had Bryson in there as well. Even if he and Wes pretty much smokes most of the field you may have a George or Pete or Kwon or Micah challenging them for the win on the playoff hole which makes it that more exciting.
I agree 8 holes was too few, I would recommend the next event to be a full 18 with a top 4 or 6 playoff hole. Maybe a 3 hole playoff.
Also agree a bigger field. I think a field of 24 to 30 can be attainable with 3 ball groups for better pace of play. More global representation as well.

The Creator Classic was good for a first attempt, they need to not broadcast it like a PGA event and try to connect it to the audience and platform but at least they are trying to expand beyond the Golf Channel coverage. More mics, more of the players and more golf

I watched the Creator Classic. It was fun watching the creators. Didn't like the format though. 9-holes is fine but everyone should have played all 9 and then the top 4 would go into the playoff. Chip-off is ridiculous. Was really glad to see Pete do so well.
I would love the Fed Ex to be a match play event over a few weekends.
A prize for winning the points for the season, but the top 32 or whatever enter in to the "playoffs". Which is a knockout tournament consisting of so many rounds and maybe if you come in the top 4 of the points you automatically make it to the quarters or something.
The current format is really stale.
I'd love it if LIV went down this route. Imagine the carnage....................

Thought it was a bit shortsighted of the tour, to barely show your group during play. Especially considering you, Morris and Kwon were right there in contention till the end, and Kwon went on to win.

Creator Bryson? Now that would have been controversial but would elevate everything. Would be interesting in a LIV format or even hosted at a LIV event. Creator golf. Have longest drive hole Have nearest the pin. Chug a gallon of milk……louder golf.
