Very nice CSX. I will watch your process. I have 2 modern style hulls cut out of wood. Have never finished them yet. Have fun with this. Its nice to see I am not the only one who likes these big lakers. John
A RUclips video titled Joseph L. Block arrived in Duluth 11/07/2021 shows the markings in the front clearly at 1:05 and the same markings can be seen at the rear at 3:24 just below the decks. The markings are also visible in the photo that you shared. Good luck.
Robert, there are photos and RUclips videos of the ship by the lighthouse and there are clear markings on the side of the hull in the front and back that indicate the depth of the hull in comparison to the water. If you can measure those you could probably calculate the height of each deck.
Wow looks like a really cool build. So two things I can think of, most ship decks are 8 feet, unless your in the engine room. Hope that helps. Also, seafarers are very superstitious, so 13 would not be a good number of holds. Just saying. Looking forward to the build.
What a fun build, and will you have it actually having ore loading and going through bottom of boat back up to ore hoppers or just the illusion of loading? Whatever you do Robert it will be of a high quality like all your builds and a great photo shooting scene. Take care Kevin.
Wow...very interested how you build this. Love containerships as well any bulk cargo ships. Let the fun begin. Thanks for sharing, Robert.
Drew, will be interesting to see how this build turns out, i know nothing about boats/ships so
will be good cheers Robert

You and me both! Dave, and i know completely nothing about boats/ships cheers Robert
