- A gentleman, a scholar, an inspiration to many and a true Aquatic Legend....so much so the Dead Fish Order gave him the title of Lord Cumming.
I was truly honored to spend an afternoon with my friend in his amazing working fish room and have a candid chat about fish.
Hopefully you will enjoy this glimpse into his life and his passions as an aquatic master.

This is a name I'd forgot all about until I seen this video title, I was born in 1970 too and although I'm English, this man was a part of my growing up with the fishkeeping hobby from day one, the only other legend that used to be everywhere was Dr Axelrod, he used to be in all the early publications...Thanks for this video, I've just subscribed to Jim now and can't wait to sift through all his work, cheers mate!

I have fond memories of my pair of my breeding pair of menerambo from the late 90’s. Awesome fish, fascinating species from an evolutionary standpoint
Been watching Jim for years a true master , thought his views on community tanks very interesting and have been talking to many cichlid keepers in the uk about doing similar things , it sure seems to work for him great video 👍

moarrrr mooooarrrr !!!!!! what a great video/series thx...be the fish, watch the fish (people) observe your fish they are talking to u and each other all the time...these fish are not soulless automatons ...they have personalities ...but u need to watch them closely to discover this
I couldn't agree more! We can learn so much if we simply put our phones down and observe quietly. Get back to basics
Hi Chris, any reason why there is no stand alone video of Jims tanks/setups?
Best I can say as I do not want to speak on Jim’s behalf is that Jim has a working fishroom. Working fishroom s are not pretty. They are designed with the sole purpose of breeding fish. I would love to do one with him if he would be interested.
