This game is very skill based, most people who were playing are used to Mario Kart which plays very differently, I recommend looking at lots of guides on how to play before you start. And don't jump into online right away, adventure mode let's you unlock lots of stuff, 6 characters, 4 kart sets, plenty of decals, etc.

Tyrone you should definitely try this one CTR is a childhood game of mine and I cannot recommend this enough. The bosses are really hard that’s why at the Bomb scene when the dude was getting hit by bombs. I was raging my ass off during that boss fight but once you get the drifting down you’re golden
Me and my siblings played the crap outta this game on the ps1. The we got more of them on the PS2 as well as twin sanity
I would wait until they re-release the game with all the grand prix stuff in. That way at least you don't have to worry about not having to get tons of wumpa coins to unlock the characters!

This game is freaking crazy!!!!
CTR is a pretty good game, it takes time to master the boosting and taking those shortcuts, it was grindy at first but recently the new Update buffed the payouts for Local Play to make it easier to unlock stuff.
Best Kart Classes are Speed, Acceleration & Drift
This is seriously a great game Tyrone! It's like Mario Kart, but it requires actual skill!
Like for real, there's so many things to keep track of, but like with every game, you'll learn the mechanics by practicing. This is the best racing game I've played imo. I suggest you try it! WOOOO!
I love that game. Its one of my favorite games. I played it most of my life actually. I used to play the original version way back on the PlayStation 1. It was fun. It brings back memories. I got the new one and I still absolutely love that racing game. I recommend it

I'm working on CTR Nitro Fueled so I can relate. Those boss races are BROKEN AF. You need RNGsus' favor with those boxes to get ahead.
Once you do get ahead its easy to stay up in there if you can consistently power slide boost constantly

Well to say it like this. This game doesnt hold your hand. If you arent any good..this game will kill you :p At the point you master the game controllers and shortcuts to a T. Its all a joy ride mostly. Love this game, but get good XD

CTR Nitro-Fueled looks fun.
Mario kart’s drifting is easier, Crash is like drifting in manual transmission. It’s way harder to get good at the game. I’m decent, but ones that know how to keep the blue flame, you might as well find another race. Blue flames are the fastest and there’s a way to keep it. Once they get too far out ahead of everyone, it’s not even a match.

Yo, Tyrone... I'll describe Crash Team Racing the best way I can to see if I can convience you of getting the game.
Mario Kart is the Street Fighter 2 of kart racers. It's iconic, fun, accesible and without it, there's no CTR.
Crash Team Racing, on the other hand, would be the equivalent of Street Fighter 3. Is it derivative? Sure, but it's presentation and especially it's mechanincs, speed and technics elevate the game to a whole other competitive level. A pro will always be miles and leaps ahead from a newbe. When you master what the game has to offer, you'll have the most fun.
Mario kart is the original i know. But it is like STG-44 and CTR is like AK-47 for me.
Also i think Street Fighter is an overrated crap. Tekken for example is better
@@lukaimedashvili270 I mean, it's all subjective, really. I used the SF anology because Tyrone loves it and because, objectively, SF3 is a more technical game than SF2 as it has more things going on that separate the casual player from the pros.

The other way around ,Mario kart got weight and Items in a really strategic way

I want to get this game but I am extremely hesitant because people have trained for, I’m not shitting you, like 15+ years for this to be made. My maximum training was 8 years until my family garage sold my ps2. This was the playstations closest thing to Mario Kart and was perfect in every way
