You probably do not get very many MOMS that comment but I just wanted to let you know I think you and Lindsay did a great job decorating your space. Having just moved my daughter into her dorm a few weeks ago I have seen a lot of dorm rooms! I have seen the sky high lofted situation with futon below, I have seen the blush, gray, gold combo rooms, I have seen dozens of the over the bed monogram rooms. As my daughter says, "Like I don't know which bed is mine." Bored and want to laugh watch any SEC college girl's dorm room tour! Glad to see you did not bring too many clothes. One of the biggest mistakes made is bringing your entire wardrobe. In the South Nike shorts, tees, Chacos or sneakers rule for daily wear. My daughter and her roommate decided not to coordinate bedding and it turned out great. Each side reflects "them" with the rug tying everything together. The coffee carts are fabulous. We just dropped off an IKEA cart for her a week ago because they were tired of the coffee maker next to the sink. I wish you the very best in school. Whatever your major is I do hope you consider taking broadcasting classes. You have a wonderful screen presence. Weigh everything taught in your classes against what your parents have taught you and your own research. Never accept anything face value. Listen to different views from your professors and classmates and then make your own decision. Even if that decision is not popular. Yes, I'm conservative but I have no problem hearing a liberal viewpoint if someone can explain why they believe it to be true. Trying to make someone out to be evil because they believe a certain way ends all conversation and will never change someone's viewpoint. Keep your faith. You will need it a lot in college and recent studies show you will be a happier and more content adult. Best Wishes!

When you come back wasted from a party and want to just lie flat... Your bed is gonna be a like Mt. Everest. It's an awesome height to prevent yourself from jumping on it often during study hours though.
lol, my roommate and I had to sacrifice one of our furniture tables to use as a stepstool to CLIMB on to our beds. The uni issued out bed rails because people kept falling off and breaking an arm. Their bed height would be heaven to me.

It can have a blanket on the ledge with cute little throw pillows on each side with maybe a little stuffed animal of ur guys favorite animal. Just giving u ideas if u wanna redecorate soon. I'm going to Miami University in the fall! I'm traveling from Texas by plane, so I can't take a ton of dorm decorations with me, but I'm hoping maybe I can pull something cute like this together with what I am able to bring. Great inspiration :)
I’m going to Miami next year and I’m going on a tour next month and we’re not allowed to see the dorms unless we’re invited by a student because of COVID so thank you for showing the space and giving me some ideas of things to get, it was really helpful and informative!

I used to say that, I mean I have a room on my own and my sister doesn't live with us.....but then I decided to go to art school and now I have 3 roommates ....yeah, It is actually pretty fun.
So I just watched a college move in video before this one (they're very addicting) and the girl's dorm was waaaaaaaay bigger than your room (plus she didn't have a roommate) and when she walked the first thing she said was "It's way smaller than I expected" and I'm very brought back by how spoiled she acted compared to you.
I think it would’ve worked a lot better if you put the first desk at the end of your bed and kept the fridge where it was originally. I just think it looks odd how the fridge sticks out so much. But personal preference I guess- either way I love your dorm! 😍
Some dorms have a community bathroom and some have bathrooms in their dorms. It just depends on the college and the type of dorms you have. and yes you do change dorm rooms everywhere. Majority college has a rule of freshman needing to stay in dorms, second year is optional. The 3rd and 4th year is when people move out of the dorms and move into their own apartments around near the college campus. I hope that helps.
It usually depends on the dorm. Some dorms will have suite style bathrooms where you and another room will share. Coed dorms, depending on how they're divided, can have one floor of public bathrooms for the girls and another for the guys. My first year I lived in a dorm like that but it was a much older building. Then my second year I lived in a newer dorm that had pods and there was one bathroom (multiple showers/sinks) for like 2-3 rooms.
