When I was a graduate student, my officemate was a student from Mainland China whose family had been decimated by the CCP during the Cultural Revolution when he was a child. Every day, he'd tell me how much he HATED the CCP, especially after the TM Square massssacre. He confided freely in me because he knew I would keep his confidentiality, unlike his fellow Chinese students, who might blab to the CCP.
They'll be very surprised and terrified of how battle-experienced the US soldiers are. Their weak bodies from sitting hours per day will not serve them well.

China has stolen a lot of good tech, but the fact that they do so always leaves them playing catch-up. They are still teaching close in cannon combat during dogfights that don't happen anymore. They teach close in low level bombing that makes them linger for up to 12 minutes after releasing the munition so it stands some chance of hitting the target. They don't have a true blue water navy no matter how many ships they build. Pound for pound, US ships have them massively outgunned. They have never fought a modern war and have relied on Russia to educate them on how to do so and we have all seen how inept Russia has been in Ukraine. They have bought into the whole Wolf Warrior BS that their film industry has been shitting out for years but reality is not the same as the movies.

It is the fact that while china will try to invade taiwan and yes the russia-ukrainian war is one that has very spicy geopolitical implications, but it's the general sum of wars and how they all tie into the geopolitics.
So, France has some "situations" in africa, Israel is at war with itself again, Irak and Iran are involved in that, which means that two NATO-states (the US and France) are at the border of war and for the US that would mean a war with china.
The implications boil down to huge parts of Asia, europe, africa, north america and the entirety of Australia being at war with one another. Like not a single continent on this earth is unscathed in this. Even South america is involved, because Columbia is in a NATO-Partnership.
Here I think do my friends from china want the people they have lived among to be set upon by the people they have made friends with.

They want to atleast achieve their 2049 plan which a war with the west before then could greatly jeopardise. If the youth of China are complaining about life now, what do you think they will do with an economy destroyed, no infrastructure, and a large part of the world's country's fighting them. Personally, I suspect that if/when CCP’s PLA invades Taiwan, the Taiwanese military will disintegrate in short order . . . much like Afghanistan’s - once foreign military withdrawal. WHY? Of the three parties vying for power in Taiwan’s recent national election, the one and only party absolutely-positively against unification with china only won by a modest majority. I assess this as the electorate having little or minimal real-world ambition or willingness to fight for their own freedom and sovereignty. Leave the fighting to foreigner fools and immigrate to the west when able?! Hope my assessment is exceptionally wrong.
I work in a PMC with contracts in Taiwan and Korea. And there are many American PMCs doing work there presently.
By US military assessment, Taiwan has twice the military capacity to overtake the entire PRC. PRC real military abilities are around 10% of what is publicly reported anywhere.
This will become more and more known and proven as time go on. I don't have to prove it, all the media will prove it in the coming months and years.
It has become permanently impossible for PRC to build real military capacity by now, with dying supply chains, nonexistent leadership, collapsing economy, and constantly offending its neighbors. They are in irreversible path to collapse both politically and militarily.
That is not counting various ever-increasing covert assets and military research from Taiwan and the US. Just so you know, the PRC interior today is littered with saboteurs and covert ops from Taiwan and the US. And yes that includes PLA officers - you'd be surprised how many of them take payments from the US.
Also to add to the previous reply. NATO will not abandon Taiwan so easily. Even if China manages to take a foot hold in Taiwan NATO will already arrive to retake it. The reason being is that majority of the Microchips of the world is being produced In Taiwan. And if China takes hold of that imagine the prices of it going up. Plus them hoarding it.
