    Very frustrating, don't lose hope, I know you'll get it sorted. Sure it's not a wastegate issue for irregular boost, considering the issues you've had in the past? Looking forward to the smoke test!

    I've got the same high pitch noise in my stock 1.4 scirocco. I've done some research on it and people are saying it's a boost leak, most often from the stock diverter valve which could make a lot of sense in your case since you're pushing more boost through it than stock. I've seen someone say a GFB DV+ fixes the problem but I haven't tried it myself yet.
    I commented this before watching the end of the video, seems like you've already got that part figured out :)

      Yeah I replaced the BOV with a stock DV and the noise is still there. I could possibly try a GFB DV+, but since the stock DV didn't make any difference to the high-pitch noise... I think it makes more sense to look elsewhere. Finger-crossed the smoke test reveals what's wrong

      I have been through all this to, or i am still figuring Out what it can be 😅 dv+ makes not that of change.. but its a little bit better

    That diverter valve is doing absolutely nothing if it's not plugged in. These engines expect the excess pressure to be recirculated into the intake manifold and when the ecu doesn't get that it tries to make up for it. These cars sound terrible with anything other than a stock (working) diverter valve, an open intake will give you the noises you're after. Im speaking from experience by the way, I tried it all and then stuck in with oem on my 2.0 tsi scirocco, I now own a 7.5 golf r and haven't bothered touching the diverter.

      But this engine isn’t an EA888, it’s an EA211 that doesn’t have a DV to begin with on the stock turbo

    Have you looked into the westgate ? Might not being able to hold that much boost and leaking some and making that flute noise

      No, we bought a brand new WG actuator for this turbo and set it up correctly. Perhaps it's the actual wastegate valve that has a problem too?

    i love this project, if tunning was legal in my country i would do the "same", but we dont have the rights to modify or cars, sometimes even stickers get us in problem.

    You can get a certain diverter valve that will flutter, mate in work has put one onto his gti sorta like a supra flutter 😂

      ​@@Em_Ligman get a plumb back/recirc they make a nice chirp, believe turbosmart make electronic ones for the Golf GTI/R that use the stock plug

    No FMIC? The stock coolant intercooler in the manifold is kind of shoddy and is extremely restrictive. I’ve got the same rtmg bov and boost tap from the manifold and have no issues holding 1.7 bar

    I understand that the turbo valve is like that, but I think you are working with an engine that recirculates all those gases by default, I have the Scirocco. 1.4 tsi ea211 and the forge valve gives good results

      Yeah exactly, the stock turbo doesn't have a DV of any kind.

    Try a GFB DV+ I'm currently running one on my S3. Get some good noises from it! - I'm asuming they do a varient for the 1.4

      Yeah my turbo is one off of a 2.0L EA888 engine so I could use their normal one for this platform.
      But I think we may have a different plan now for the DV system… it’ll be nearly fully blocked off and ran into the PCV system

    Boost solenoid . Don’t know about these engines but does it have a n75 solenoid

      Yeah these don’t come with a N75 solenoid. Stock turbo doesn’t come with a DV or BOV

      I am in the UK and with the climate here it makes more sense to use 5W30 for me

    It has to be the turbo at this point, I cant think of it being anything else not gonna lie... imo you should defo be spinning rubber in second😂

      ​@@Em_Ligman With the GTI's the stock DV is the problem, so if you put in a GFB DV+ it is solved because it is made of aluminum and the stock is made of plastic, so maybe try a GFB diverter valve instead of putting the stock DV back in.

      Yeah if we do stick to running a DV, i'll 100% get a GFB DV+. However, I think it's more likely we'll run the DV port into our PCV system

      Yeah a DV+ would be much better than this potato stock DV :D but I only got it as a temporary solution in hopes of resolving the boost leak. But it's likely coming from something else. Although some did say that this OEM DV can only hold 1.3 bar...

    why not get the e888 the 2.0 will pump so much more power and you wont be breaking stuff trying to get over 300 XD

    Haha ohyeah, same trouble that i have with my 2.0 tsi Facelift (220ps350nm version) i have mapped it , and with eventuri intake, do88 intercooler, downpipe and exhaust done and it says 290hp 467nm on the dyno .. still missing boost or power, because friends of mine with the same engine got the same results after mapping without changing all the stuff around like intake and downpipe and stuff like that. And i have that fucking beeeeep too, when floorin it. Endoscope let me see my cold side turbine is a little bit , how should i call it, it took a few hits of something 😅 not that critical but maybe thats my problem.. i'm excited to see what you can figure out ❤

      Oh before i forget, here is my car/scirocco RUclips account ! On my other phone i can not Log into my acc.. donnoe why ..and i also put the bow away from the turbo to the front like the s3 for example, still no difference.... if you like you can check how my beep sounds 😅 my next step is checking the waste gate or smoke test, too..

      It could be that their dyno or dyno result isn't accurate. Or it could be that your turbo is the limitng factor, not your downpipe, intercooler or intake. The fact that you hear a similar noise might mean ur turbo is on its way out like Bart said. Let me know if you get to the bottom of it before us :D

      @@Em_Ligman yes i will do an other mapping from an other person who is good in mp4 s on vw 😉🤪 the first tuner put.more boost on it but after that you were not able to drive chilled , everytime you keep the car on 100km/h(60mp/h i guess) it cant handle it, wants to give boost but then something interrupts and pushes it back. Kind of like two minions arguing to give or to pull back boost 😬maybe the other tuner can handle that, two weeks i guess till it is going to happen

      This has been used as a development car really. Because our conversion kit will not cost a fortune for someone looking to make decent power out of this little engine.
      Insurance is cheap, car tax is cheap, maintenance is cheap, fuel economy is good, it’s a 1.4 after all

      Yeah the next project will be on a bigger engine. But I really wanna see how far we can push this platform, because believe or not, a decent amount of people tune these up a fair bit
